Pink Floyd have reportedly been shopping their back catalog for a potential half-a-billion dollar payday, but according to Variety, incendiary comments from co-founder Roger Waters in a recent interview with Rolling Stone could bring any hope of a deal to a halt. Elton John is part of a group suing the publishers of the UK tabloid The Daily Mail for “abhorrent criminal activity and gross breaches of privacy,” Deadline reports. Prince Harry, actors Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, activist Doreen Lawrence, and John’s partner David Furnish are also joining the suit. The Daily Mail is helmed by Associated Publishers, who also pub The Mail on Sunday and The Mail Online. In just a few weeks, Bob Dylan will release his new book The Philosophy of Modern Song. The book contains over 60 essays that Dylan wrote about songs by artists including Stephen Foster, Elvis Costello, Hank Williams, and Nina Simone. It arrives on November 1 in hardcover and audiobook formats. The audiobook, as Variety notes, will feature a notable roster of guests reading Dylan’s chapters. Meet Me in the Bathroom, the 2022 documentary film based on Lizzy Goodman’s 2017 book of the same name, is coming to U.S. theaters next month. The film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, will be shown in New York and Los Angeles on November 4, before hitting screens nationwide for one night only on November 8.
