Sacheen Littlefeather, Who Stood in for Marlon Brando at 1973 Oscars, Dead at 75

Sacheen Littlefeather, who endured racist mockery and threats of arrest and violence when she appeared on Marlon Brando’s behalf at the 1973 Oscars and declined his award for Best Actor, has died at the age of 75. According to Variety, Littlefeather passed away Sunday, October 2nd, following a battle with breast cancer. The New Jersey rapper turned podcast impresario recently admitted to having faked putting on a condom before having intercourse with a partner. Just so we’re clear, telling your partner you have a condom on when unbeknownst to them you don’t actually do, is sexual assault. There is no gray area. California Governor Gavin Newsom Signs Bill Limiting Use of Rap Lyrics as Evidence in Criminal Trials

A new bill signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom will limit the use of rap lyrics as evidence in criminal trials in the state. BMG to Hit 1 Billion Euros in Revenues by 2024

BMG says it will start generating one billion euros in revenue starting in 2024, achieving a financial target the company set for itself a full two years ahead of schedule, according to a corporate presentation made last week. The record label and publisher improved its growth forecast thanks to strategic investments from parent company Bertelsmann and a strong performance from several recently acquired song catalogs, BMG chief executive Hartwig Masuch told a gathering of senior Bertelsmann executives. Meeting its billion-euro goal will make BMG one of the fastest-growing new music companies in the industry, executives said.
