Kevin Spacey pled not guilty to five sexual assault charges at a court hearing in London today (July 14th), Deadline reports. A trial date has been set for June 6th, 2023. In May, Metropolitan Police charged the Oscar-winning actor with four counts of sexual assault and one of “causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.” The alleged assaults occurred between 2005-2013 in London and nearby Gloucester county against three men who are now aged in their 30s and 40s, and Spacey has repeatedly denied the accusations. The judge in today’s hearing also continued Spacey’s unconditional bail, which was granted last month. Back in 2019 in Massachusetts, Spacey was charged with indecent assault and battery in connection to a July 2016 incident involving an 18-...
Christopher Meloni appears in the buff — and boy, do we mean buff — in a new Peloton ad celebrating National Nude Day. “Some people think the way I work out is strange,” the Law and Order star says, lawlessly naked except for a blur protecting the identity of his little perp. The minute-long commercial shows the the 61-year-old lifting, stretching, crunching his abs, and running out in public, much to the approval of a dog, for some reason. Is this clip weird? Yes, unfathomably weird. But you’re not here to weigh the merits of a Peloton subscription, you’re here to see some assets. Take a peek below. In 2021, Meloni rejoined the Law and Orderverse, reprising his role as Detective Stabler in the SVU spinoff Organized Crime. The year before, he appeare...
In September, Dead Kennedys are releasing a 40th anniversary reissue of their debut album, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables, but former frontman Jello Biafra isn’t happy about it. In a message posted to the website for his label Alternative Tentacles. the DK co-founder claimed he was “intentionally” left in the dark about the project. “LISTEN BEFORE YOU BUY!! This was done almost totally behind my back. Intentionally,” wrote Biafra, hasn’t been part of the Kennedys lineup since the group first broke up in 1986 (Ron “Skip” Greer has been lead vocalist since 2008). “It was not ‘overseen by the band,’ as their press release claims. I was deliberately locked out. Not one person from the band or the labels reached out to me at all. Nor did Chris Lord-Alge, who did the remix. I guess he didn’t...
JAY-Z has officially confirmed that he is not retired from the rap game. Since it has been five years since he has released his most recent album 4:44, many fans have wondered if he will ever be getting back to music. In a recent sneak peek of Kevin Hart‘s Hart to Heart, the comedian sat down with the 24-time Grammy award winner and spoke about what he has in store for his career in the coming years. While JAY-Z did not give any concrete plans, he does confirm that he does not have plans to fully leave music. “I don’t know what happens next. I’m not actively making music, or making an album or have plans to make an album, but I never wanna say I’m retired. It’s a gift and who am I to shut it off?” JAY-Z initially announced his retirement from hip-hop after the release of his 2003 mixtape T...
When Mac Miller’s Swimming came out in 2018, the last project he released during his lifetime, Steve Lacy was listed as a producer for the single “Jet Fuel.” In a recent interview with Vulture, Lacy shared that he produced the beat with DJ Dahi, however, it was originally intended for Kendrick Lamar’s 2017 LP, DAMN. “That beat actually came from a Kendrick Lamar session,” Lacy said. “Dahi and I, when we were working on DAMN., the first day I came through to work on that record, we just made beats. He’s so organized. He has all these different drum loops. He had that loop, and I did that groove, but Dot didn’t use it. Though Lamar didn’t end up using the beat, Miller would stumble upon it while working with Dahi soon after. “Dahi just collects stuff,” Lacy continued. “I guess Malcolm w...

After breaking the record for the longest span logged between appearances on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart by artists in a lead role, Kate Bush sets another record on the July 16-dated tally. Bush’s 1985 hit “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God),” rejuvenated thanks to its sync in the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, lifts into the Alternative Airplay top 10 (13-9), marking her first top 10 on the chart since 1994, when “Rubberband Girl” spent its final week in the top 10 on the Jan. 8 list, after peaking at No. 7 in December 1993. Bush then went 28 years, five months one week between top 10s until the latest list. That’s the longest pause between top 10s in the chart’s 33-year history, exceeding the 14-year, six-month and one-week respite for The Strokes, whose “Bad D...
