<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-04-07T15:58:11+00:00“>April 7, 2021 | 11:58am ET 10-year-old multi-instrumentalist and YouTube sensation Nandi Bushell continues to impress the artists she covers. This time around, she’s earned kudos from the Pixies for her loop version of the band’s classic song “Where Is My Mind?” Last year, Nandi earned respect (and a signature guitar) from Tom Morello for her cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Guerrilla Radio”, as well as props from Metallica’s Kirk Hammett for her rendition of “Enter Sandman”. Of course, she also made headlines for her epic multi-round drum battle with Dave Grohl after challenging him with a cover of Foo Fighters’ “Everlong”. Her 2021 is already off to a big...

<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-04-07T16:31:02+00:00“>April 7, 2021 | 12:31pm ET Editor’s Note: Our review looks at the physical version of this release, which consists of four total tracks — two long, two shorter. Black Emperor have always played at being impenetrable. The Montreal post-rock cooperative give their albums and songs difficult, often poetic names (Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress, “[…+The Buildings They Are Sleeping Now]”), and the group would much rather hide in the shadows of large, projected images at their live shows than drink in the sp...

The musician and the host primarily talked about her “stream of consciousness” writing approach for the book and her “faith journey as a queer person”. Right before the segment’s end, though, Colbert asked Carlile if she would treat him to a cover of Joni Mitchell, and Carlile happily obliged with an acoustic rendition of “A Case of You”. In a way, this cover song was a multiple-year-long dream for Colbert. Back in 2019, Carlile performed the entirety of Mitchell’s iconic 1971 album Blue at the Disney ...
