[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery. Do not read until after watching!] “We wanted the whole thing to feel like a surprise party, where just one thing after another happens,” showrunner Krister Johnson says about the newly released Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery, a special episode of the Netflix improv comedy series where the chaos of Season 1, released last February, gets amplified to a whole new level. In the special, hard-nosed and mustachioed Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett) is joined by not one, not two, but three clueless celebrities as he attempts to solve a murder; there are additional guest stars sprinkled throughout the double-length episode, along with plenty of other surprises. Jordin Sparks had the pleasure of sitting next to Pete Davidson and Emily Ratajkowski’s recent date at a New York Knicks game and now she’s spilling the tea. “I was trying not to be all up in their business,” the singer told E! News at the 36th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards on Wednesday. “But they sounded like they were having a great time. And we bonded over the fact that it gets kinda awkward when they have to put the camera in your face and show you to everybody. … They were really nice, and I was really happy to sit next to them.” The American Idol champ also offered her opinion on why Davidson’s latest romance with EmRata is such a hot topic, saying, “It’s always really fascinating which couples we pick to just blow up. I think they’re really sweet. I think they look good to...
Oh, you thought you had a chance with Pete Davidson now that he’s single? We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but there’s yet another richer, older, and much more famous woman who might also have her eyes set on the ex-SNL star: Martha Stewart. The television personality revealed on a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show that she finds Davidson “sorta cute,” and would happily go on a date with him despite being over 50 years his senior. The topic came up during a game of “Red Flag, Yellow Flag, Green Flag,” in which host Barrymore got a sense of Stewart’s ideal partner with a set of hypothetical scenarios. For the player, waving a red flag means that scenario is a dealbreaker, while a green flag indicates full speed ahead: “Your date has as many tattoos as Pete David...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Tommaso Boddi / Getty The fallout from Kanye West’s now-pulled Drink Champs episode continues. Charlamagne tha God decided to share an interesting nugget of information after coon in boots mentioned him during the podcast episode. Kanye West or Ye did not hide the fact that he did not care for his now ex-wife being in a relationship with comedian and former SNL star Pete Davidson and now we know exactly why. In a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast with Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne the God touched on being mentioned by West in the widely criticized Drink Champs episode. The Chicago rapper brought up The Breakfast Club host mentioning that “Kim [Kardashian] is with Pete because he got a bigger d**k.” His words, not ours. Breaking down a phone call...
The Pitch: It’s a tale as old as time: Gary (Pete Davidson) and Sheila (Kaley Cuoco) meet at a bar, and it’s basically love at first sight. She notices him because he’s the only one in the bar not watching the Big Game. He notices her because she’s funny, witty, unexpected, and a little kooky; their droll senses of humor bounce off each other like electricity. As their night goes from bar to restaurant to slow walks and talks along the riverside, it seems like their moment-one spark is too good to be true. Well, that might be because it is: It doesn’t take long for Sheila to fess up to the fact that their spontaneous meeting wasn’t so spontaneous: She’s lived this night dozens of times before, thanks to a magical tanning machine in a nearby nail salon that zaps you back 24 hours in ti...
Craig Gillespie has cast some very familiar faces in his next directing endeavor Dumb Money. Deadline reports that Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, and Pete Davidson are set to star in the forthcoming adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s book The Antisocial Network, which documents the 2021 GameStop short squeeze that shook Wall Street. As a refresher: Early last year, the hedge fund Melvin Capital used a tactic called “shorting,” borrowing GameStop shares they believed were overpriced and immediately selling them, hoping that their prices would later go down. Because Melvin didn’t own the shares, they would then buy them back and return them to the original lender, making a profit. Shorting can, of course, be a massive risk for the seller. In this case, the Reddit board r/wallstreetbets...
Joe Pesci has boarded Pete Davidson’s upcoming comedy series Bupkis, which was ordered to Peacock in April. As Variety points out, it will mark just the second regular TV role of Pesci’s storied career after he starred in the short-lived NBC series Half Nelson in 1985. The veteran of movies such as Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and The Irishman will play Davidson’s grandfather in the 30-minute sitcom. The Oscar winner joins previously announced cast member Edie Falco (Sopranos, Nurse Jackie), who is set to play Davidson’s mother. In addition to starring in the show, Davidson will write and executive produce Bupkis with his longtime collaborator and friend Dave Sirus and Judah Miller (Crashing). Kid Cudi signaled the end of his tumultuous, 13-year friendship with Kanye West in a recent Esquire interview, saying “It’s gonna take a motherfucking miracle for me and that man to be friends again” in reference to the escalating beef between the two rappers over the past year. In February, West wrote on Instagram that he would not feature Cudi, a frequent collaborator, on his music “because he’s friends with you know who.” The since-deleted post was a reference to Pete Davidson, Cudi’s friend and Kim Kardashian’s first boyfriend since filing for divorce from Kanye West in 2021. Cudi broke his silence on the ordeal in the interview. “Do you know how it feels to wake up one day, look at your social media, and you’re trending because somebody’s talking some shit about you?” he said. “You fu...
