Nicolas Cage recently relived many of his iconic film roles in the meta action-comedy, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. One such scene saw Cage spoof the ending to Face/Off, the 1997 John Woo sci-fi action thriller co-starring John Travolta. As it turns out, Cage has been approached about making an actual sequel to Face/Off, and went as far to reveal that the film’s prospective plot would involve his and Travolta’s characters’ children. “I think Face/Off is a sequel that lends itself to a lot of twists and turns and unpredictability,” Cage said in an interview with Collider. “It’s almost like if you factor in the idea of offspring and Castor (Cage) and Sean (Travolta) having children and these children grow up, then it becomes like three-dimensional chess, and then it’s not just th...

Paul Mescal to Star in Gladiator Sequel

Paul Mescal is set to star in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel. Scott, 82, is directing the film, based on a script written by David Scarpa (All the Money in the World). The plot is said to focus on Lucius, the nephew of Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus whom Russel Crowe’s Maximus saves in the original movie. Mescal, an Irish actor best known for his work on the Hulu series Normal People, beat out some fierce competition to win the role of Lucius. According to Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter, Miles Teller, Austin Butler, Richard Madden, and Timotée Chalamet all took meetings and/or auditioned for the role. Pixar Announces Inside Out Sequel

Are you prepared to get back in your feels? Pixar has revealed that a sequel to their 2015 hit film Inside Out is on the way. Disney announced the news during animation panel at the D23 Expo on Friday. Inside Out mostly took place inside the brain of a young girl named Riley, and the five anthropomorphic emotions that ruled it. The movie starred Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Bill Hader as Fear, Lewis Black as Anger, and Mindy Kaling as Disgust. Due out in Summer 2024, the sequel will be directed by Kelsey Mann with a screenplay written by Meg LeFauve.
