Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar took the Super Bowl LVI stage during halftime and unsurprisingly tore the house down. They stampeded through a slew of their greatest hits, with Dre and Snoop serving as the de facto emcees. The Super Bowl Halftime Show was befitting for the Big Game, which took place at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Opening with Dre and Snoop’s “The Next Episode,” the stage was a replica studio, house and buildings that served as a tribute to Los Angeles. They went into “California Love” before 50 Cent popped up to perform a verse from “In Da Club.” Following Fiddy’s cameo, Blige hit the stage for “Family Affair” and “No More Drama.” Then Kendrick Lamar hopped on stage for “m.a.a.d. city” and “Alright.” Eminem (who would take a knee in support of...
Analyzing the aggregate cryptocurrency market performance over the past 7 days could give investors the impression that the total market capitalization grew by a mere 4% to $2.03 trillion, but this data is heavily impacted by the top 5 coins, which happen to include two stablecoins. Excluding Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB) and stablecoins reflects a 9.3% market capitalization increase to $418 billion from $382 billion on Feb 4. This explains why so many of the top-80 altcoins hiked 25% or more while very few presented a negative performance. Winners and losers among the top-80 coins. Source: Nomics Gala Games (GALA) announced on Feb. 9 a partnership with world renowned hip-hop star Snoop Dogg to launch his new album and exclusive non-fungible token (NFT) campaign. Gala Game...
A lawsuit has been filed against Snoop Dogg by a California woman who claims he forced oral sex on her in 2013 after attending one of the rapper’s shows. TMZ was first to report the suit. In the suit, which was filed on February 9 and viewed by SPIN, seeing Snoop perform on May 29, 2013, in Anaheim, California, the woman—only identified as Jane Doe—claims Bishop Don Juan, a long-time friend of Snoop’s, offered her a ride home. She says she fell asleep in the car, and when she awoke she realized they were at Bishop’s home instead. “Plaintiff was exhausted and fell asleep at [Bishop’s] home,” the lawsuit says. Jane Doe says she awoke at 4 am the next morning and Bishop “removed his penis from his pants and forced his penis in Plaintiff’s face,” and “repeatedly shoved his penis into Plai...
Over the past few years, Death Row Records has had some curious owners (to put it mildly). Now, the label is coming home (sort of). Snoop Dogg has agreed to a deal with MNRK Music Group, which is owned by private equity fund Blackstone, to become the new owner of the label where he got his start. The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but a person familiar with the situation tells SPIN that it is expected to include the label’s catalog. The only thing that’s been officially confirmed so far is that Snoop is the owner of the Death Row Records brand. The timing couldn’t be better for Snoop. His new album, B.O.D.R. is out this Friday, and he’s performing at the Super Bowl this Sunday with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and more. “I am thrilled and appreciative of t...

An extravagant trailer for the upcoming Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show has just been released. Deemed “The Call,” this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show will feature Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. The highly anticipated performance follows The Weeknd’s set last year. In the trailer, all the artists are in the middle of something—Eminem tries to come up with lyrics, Snoop is cruising down the highway, Blige poses for a photoshoot, Lamar...
