What’s Streaming on Shudder in February 2021

Shudder is showing a whole lotta love for Valentine’s Day. For February, AMC’s spooky streaming service has curated a twisted lineup of originals, classics, and premieres that will splash blood all over your box of chocolates. Building on their promise of 11 new originals/exclusives over 11 weeks, the next month will see premieres of A Nightmare Wakes, After Midnight, Shook, and one of last year’s most frightening films: The Dark and the Wicked. Of course, the real main event is spending a romantic night with Joe Bob Briggs. Shudder’s de facto mayor is back with a Valentine’s Day special that he’s dubbed Joe Bob Put a Spell on You, which more or less confirms some wild witchy content. It’s time to choose your wand and grab a spot in line for the Sorting Hat, because a new Harry Potter live-action TV series is in the works at HBO Max. According to The Hollywood Reporter, executives at the streaming service have been holding brainstorming conversations with potential writers to imagine new ways to steer the Harry Potter franchise. However, the TV series is still a long way off from becoming a reality. As they said in a sta...

With Snowpiercer, Rowan Blanchard Is Finally In Control

By Gina Marinelli Like many Disney Channel stars that have come before, Rowan Blanchard is ready to take control of how she presents herself to the world. Longtime fans will recognize the 19-year-old as someone who’s not afraid to speak about her personal struggles with mental health and advocate for marginalized members of society, be it giving a speech on intersectional feminism at the 2017 Women’s March or encouraging fellow white, able-bodied folks to participate in Black Lives Matter protests this past summer. She’s also recently slain a Rodarte lookbook and Cultured magazine spread in extravagant styles you won’t likely find on a Girl Meets World set. But for all else who still associate Blanchard with her memorable childhood character, Riley Matthews, the upcoming second season of S...

Larry King Once Told Conan O’Brien He Wanted His Body Frozen After He Died

For the last two years, Conan O’Brien has spent a good chunk of his day-to-day hilariously looking for new friends on his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. Today, the late-night host lost one of his greatest pals in veteran TV personality Larry King. The two were exceptionally close. So much so that King was more or less a series regular on O’Brien’s late-night show, popping up for essential bits on the dime without any notice or ceremony. In fact, die-hard fans would be quick to point out that, according to Conan mythology, King could always be found in the rafters above the show’s stage. Yes, all too often, O’Brien would randomly turn the cameras over to King, who would be sitting there above them, ready to deliver irreverent jokes and one-liners. It was a great recurring bit that n...

Rookies’ Revenge: Is Big T’s Girl Gang The Next Big Threat On The Challenge?

Later, Lavender Ladies. Move along, Inferno 2 Mean Girls. There’s a new girl gang in Challenge-town, and while they might be little, they proved on the most recent Double Agents episode that they can certainly pack a wild punch. After Nelson’s shocking Crater elimination, Big T and her gaggle of rookie pals — The Ambers and Gabby — began to grow frustrated with some of the vets’ bravado. More specifically, they were sick of Tori citing their small group “layups,” and rather than wait to get bowled over — the typical routine for a Challenge rookie — they decided to stand up and fight. After a five-alarm meeting, the girls committed to winning the next mission so they could pit Tori, their Public Enemy No. 1, against Tori’s best pal Aneesa. This would ensure one of the veterans was eliminat...
