WePresent, the art platform from WeTransfer, has announced its upcoming Spring Show at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham, London, titled On Belonging.
Taking place from May 8-10, the three-day event is open to all and spotlights the platform’s range of creative practices with curation exploring themes of identity and community.
Turning the gallery into a multi-disciplinary public space, the all-encompassing programme brings together global artists from its WePresent Selects series as well as collectives and creatives from its wider network. Visitors of the show can expect to experience exhibitions, film screenings, talks, DJs and a pop-up shop across its duration.
Exhibit highlights include artists like Chad McLean, Hashim Nasir and Hajar Benjida displaying new and acclaimed works, a purpose-built cinema screening exclusive commissions from Akinola Davies Jr., Amrou Al-Kadhi and Jamie-James Medina, while a dedicated library space showcases WePresents publishing projects including Mustafa’s Nour poetry book and Nadia Lee Cohen’s Holy Ohio. South London’s music platform Balamii will also be taking over the sounds over the three days with daily DJ sets from its artists.
As well as panel talks and portfolio reviews hosted by experts designed to inspire emerging creatives and encourage meaningful discourse, the on-site store offers a selection of artist collaborations spanning fashion to homeware, with all proceeds donated to charity.
On Belonging opens its doors on May 8 from 11a.m.-7p.m. BST. Check out some of the exhibit highlights in the gallery above and secure tickets on Eventbrite for free.
