Macaulay Culkin has weighed in on one of the most heated debates in holiday history: Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?
During an appearance on the Mythical Kitchen podcast, the Home Alone star offered a succinct reason why the Bruce Willis action thriller is in fact not a Christmas movie: “It’s based around Christmas, but if it was also St. Patrick’s Day, it would still work. But you couldn’t do Memorial Day Home Alone. It doesn’t work that way.”
“I’m kind of the godfather of Christmas nowadays, so my opinion kind of has some sway,” Culkin added.
