Lizzie Noir Announces “Piece of Me” EP, Out December 10, with lead single Casanova inspired by Akon’s “Belly Dancer”

Lagos, Nigeria – December 2025 – Lizzie Noir, the emotive Nigerian vocalist who has lent her voice to artists including Davido, Kizz Daniel, CKay, Joeboy, and many others, is stepping fully into her own spotlight with the release of her debut EP, Piece of Me, which just got released December 10, 2025, across all major streaming platforms.

Following the success of her debut single “Spell on Me” (released May 26, 2025, with over 12,000 Spotify streams), Piece of Me represents the full vision Lizzie has been building toward. The five-track EP is an honest documentation of an artist figuring out who she is when the microphone belongs only to her.

“I had been trying out different touches to my sound, trying to figure out what works for me and what could appeal to me as a listener because I’m the first consumer of my music”, Lizzie explains. “I tried recording a number of songs, and because of how beautiful they turned out, I decided to make it a body of work for the public.”

Lead Single: “Casanova”

The focus single “Casanova” (produced by Soundkraft) is a nostalgic Afrobeat track that revives and lends tunes from Akon’s iconic “Belly Dancer” giving it an old-school feel that drives listeners to dance while warning them about the heartbreakers. It’s Lizzie’s expression of spotting men who don’t mean well and trying to warn ladies about them, all wrapped in an irresistible groove.

But beauty didn’t come easy. The EP’s creation was marked by moments of frustration and doubt. “Okay” , one of the standout tracks, was born directly from those feelings. “It was literally me in a phase where I was so confused as to what life has for me, coupled with the state of the country and how it doesn’t care for the youth”, Lizzie shares. “I and many people like me would also want to run away. Maybe that would make us fine.”

Piece of Me moves through different emotional territories with ease. “Let Her Go” (produced by Curly Music, co-written with Kennypaul) combines Afro and soul sounds to express the sadness of unrequited love, demanding to be taken seriously or left alone. “Spell on Me” explores the enchanting, overwhelming experience of falling in love with a mix of R&B, soul, and Afrobeat. The EP closes with “Pay” (produced by Soundkraft), a high-energy track that tells Nigerian youth to forget the year’s struggles and just enjoy the holiday.

The Growth

Lizzie Noir’s musical journey began at age five in her church choir and flourished through professional work with the Loud Urban Choir in 2022. Her years as a session vocalist weren’t just apprenticeship but education in the truest sense, learning the architecture of hit songs while developing her own artistic identity. Drawing inspiration from Adele, Beyoncé, and Brandy, Lizzie’s music delves into themes of truth, love, hope, and the human experience.

“Before now, I haven’t been this stretched out of my comfort zone,” she reflects. “I would originally not want to do some of the songs I did. I even had to try being open-minded and give room for a change in taste of music, and it turned out pretty well. In terms of growth, I learned to not let what I’m feeling at the moment distract me from creating what is meant to be created, even if it takes the whole day or even the whole week.”

Piece of Me is out now on all major streaming platforms.
