‘Assassin’s Creed Mirage’ Receives 2023 Release Date and First Look

‘Assassin’s Creed Mirage’ Receives 2023 Release Date and First Look

After being pressured to announce the game following leaked images on Twitter, Ubisoft has now revealed the release window for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Just like the leaks suggested, the latest installment to the expansive Assassin’s Creed franchise will be set in ninth-century CE Baghdad, where players will take on the character of Basim Is’haq, a young street thief “with nightmarish visions” who evolves into a master assassin, “seeking answers and justice.”

As the game’s synopsis describes, “After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization – The Hidden Ones.” It continues: “As he learns their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets, he will hone his unique abilities, discover his true nature, and come to understand a new Creed – one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.”

According to Ubisoft, The Hidden Ones predates the Assassin Brotherhood, and Basim will train under the mentorship of Roshan. Going back to the series’ roots, the game will also place a much greater emphasis on parkour and free running, with the studio calling Basim one of the most nimble and agile characters in the Assassin’s Creed universe.

For fans of the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive sometime in 2023. Stay tuned for more updates to come.
