For his visuals to “Candy Man,” Boosie Badazz takes on the role of the man in the mirror and haunts a hater who dared slandered his name 5 times in a roll. Elsewhere Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean and Hit-Boy celebrate their first basketball championship and give the realest post-game press conference in sports history before turning up in their clip to “4 Thangs.” Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Drag-On, Millyz featuring Jim Jones, and more....

Eve Is Leaving ‘The Talk’ To Focus on Family

Source: VALERIE MACON / Getty Eve announced she is leaving The Talk after four seasons as co-host on the CBS daytime talk show to focus on her family. On Monday (Nov. 2), the actor shared the news remotely from London where she’s lived with her husband, Maximillion Cooper, since the start of the current season in September. The departure comes after the United Kingdom’s new coronavirus lockdown, which puts an enormous strain on travel and timezone differences during the filming schedule.  “It’s been a crazy year, obviously for all of us,” said Eve. “And I’m so grateful that I’m able to stay here in London and do the show, but I can’t see for me, the foreseeable future of traveling back at the moment, and have decided that at the end of December, this will probably be my last time on t...

Cardi B Shares Some Helpful Election Day Hacks: ‘Go Vote, You Fuckers!’

Cardi B has always been outspoken, especially when it comes to politics. Last year, the 26-year-old Bronx rapper met with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders at a Detroit, Michigan, nail salon to discuss police brutality, student debt, and the economy. And after former Vice President Joe Biden cinched the Democratic nomination, she caught up with the presidential hopeful over Zoom in August for Elle, talking COVID-19 and beyond. It’s understandable why: As a mom to two-year-old Kulture, many of the issues at stake in this election may affect her and her community directly. That’s why, in the days leading up to Election Day, as well as on the day itself, Cardi B continued to use her massive platform, with a whopping 77.6 million followers on Instagram alone, to ke...

How Lizzo Embraced The Political Power Of Fashion

During her September appearance in an episode of Vogue‘s 73 Questions video series, Lizzo explained that she felt her stylistic choices have often been politicized. “Being a big, Black woman, wearing what I wore on stage was instantly political and it made a statement,” the 32-year-old singer told the magazine at the time. Though she admitted it was “annoying at first,” the singer has since embraced the statement-making power of fashion, increasingly so in the weeks ahead of the presidential election. For Halloween, she dressed up as the fly that broke the internet when it landed on incumbent Vice President Mike Pence’s head during a debate with California Senator Kamala Harris, donning goggles and sheer wings. Earlier ...

Selena Gomez Encourages In-Person Voting: ‘Your Voice Does Matter’

As one of most-followed people on Instagram, Selena Gomez understands the value of her platform. Case in point: Today (November 3) is Election Day, and Gomez spend a portion of the day encouraging her followers to vote, getting her message out in a series of Instagram Stories. Of course, the fact that it is indeed Election Day means that it’s too late for mail-in ballots, so Gomez turned her focus on getting the word about in-person voting. “I know that many of you have voted, and I’m so proud and I’m so happy that you did, but there is plenty of other people who haven’t, and I think they don’t plan to,” she said. “Please don’t use mail-in ballots. Please vote in person at this point, if you can, especially in my hometown in Texas, and ...

Percussionist Chris Fehn Drops Lawsuit Against Slipknot

Chris Fehn has dropped his lawsuit against Slipknot more than a year the longtime percussionist was ousted from the band. According to Rock Feed, Fehn’s attorneys filed a Notice of Voluntary Discontinuance with the New York Supreme Court last week, effectively ending Fehn’s case against his former band and other parties. He had claimed they withheld money and funneled it through Slipknot affiliated businesses setup by band members in different states. Fehn sued his bandmates over money matters when he was technically still in Slipknot, although he was dismissed from the group shortly thereafter. He wore the long-nosed mask in the band since 1998 and was one of its earliest members, vital to the band’s signature multi-percussionist format. “Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot...

Sharon Jones is Getting a Music Amphitheater Named After Her

A music venue in South Carolina will be officially renamed after Sharon Jones, the soul legend who died in 2016 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. On Monday, the city council of North Augusta unanimously voted to rechristen their local Riverside Village Amphitheater as the Sharon Jones Amphitheater. Jones was born in Augusta, Georgia, but spent most of her early years just across the Savannah River in North Augusta. Even after she moved to New York, the iconic singer often returned to visit and reconnect with family members still in the area. “She could be herself here,” Jones’ sister, Willia Stringer, told Rolling Stone. “She would come back and go fishing. She found that relaxation here.” Stringer, who was present for the city council’s vote, said that Jones “would be flabbergast...

Eddie Vedder Reveals the One Piece of Advice He Gave Bradley Cooper for A Star Is Born

To accurately portray his role as a rock star in A Star Is Born, Bradley Cooper spent a few days shadowing Eddie Vedder to learn the ins and outs of the lifestyle. As part of his tutelage, Vedder provided Cooper with a very important piece of advice. On Monday, the Pearl Jam frontman recounted his experience working with Cooper on the 2018 flick. He admitted that he was initially hesitant to lend a hand — not because he didn’t trust Cooper to put the proper time and energy into portraying a rock star, but because it’s so rare that a music-focused movie accurately represents the industry as it is in real life. “We just hung out for a couple of days, and he just asked me a few questions and I told him things like, you know, ‘Make sure your guitar covers your balls at all times,’” said ...

German COVID-19 Study Suggests Safe Indoor Concerts Are Theoretically (But Probably Not Actually) Possible *

Under conditions that may never be replicated in the real world, German scientists have found that safe indoor concerts are technically possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. First, the good news. In August, researchers at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg held a concert at Leipzig’s Quarterback Immobilien Arena. Using contact tracing devices and computer modeling, the scientists studied a group of 1,400 volunteers for 10 hours across three different simulated scenarios. In the first, there was no social distancing (this went badly), the second involved moderate social distancing (checkerboard seating, which went much better), and in the third go-round, pairs of people were seated 1.5 meters apart from their nearest neighbors, which produced excellent results. Researchers used fog ...

LEMMY’s Advice To MOTÖRHEAD Guitarist PHIL CAMPBELL: ‘Don’t Wear Shorts On Stage’

In a new interview with the “Australian Rock Show”, MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell was asked if there was one piece of advice the band’s late frontman Lemmy gave him that he still carries around with him. He responded (hear audio below): “I guess things just rub off on you over a period of time. When I joined MOTORHEAD, he did say one thing. He said, ‘Look, Phil, I trust you a hundred percent musically. You play what you feel is right. But just don’t wear shorts on stage.’ ‘Cause I think [former MOTÖRHEAD guitarist] Brian Robertson had been wearing shorts on some gigs before me. “I think he just said, ‘Make you’re always not ripping off fans, and they’re getting their value for their buck,’ which is always tru...

HALESTORM’s LZZY HALE Still Panics Before Hitting The Stage

In a recent interview with The Pit, HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale was asked if she still panics before she takes the stage at a concert. She responded (see video below): “It’s not necessarily a matter of getting rid of that or calming myself down. It’s just something that’s always been there. And maybe when I was a young teenager, it was a little bit more overwhelming, but it is still this… And I say ‘panic’ in such a positive way. And something different will always trigger it, whether somebody says, ‘Hey, we only have 10 minutes till showtime,’ and then, all of a sudden, I’ll be, like, ‘Oooh’ — [I’ll feel] this electricity. And all of a sudden, your mindset just changes, and it’s almost like you just become sh...
