Michael Jordan’s Game-Worn Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” Sells For Record $615K

Source: Stadium Goods / Christie’s Well, someone out there just spent a Galactus sized grip on a pair of OG Air Jordans they can’t possibly rock. Source: Stadium Goods / Christie’s A few weeks ago we reported that Stadium Goods and Christie‘s were about to hold a one-of-a-kind auction featuring all kinds of game-worn Michael Jordan memorabilia and not only did it go all the way down, but it shattered records. After all the bids were in and the smoke cleared, a pair of original game-worn Air Jordan 1’s ended up selling for a staggering $615,000, shattering the record setting sale of $560,000 for a pair of Air Jordan 1’s back in May. We feel like it was either DJ Khaled or Fat Joe that were behind the winning bid given their sneaker aficionado statuses. While the 1’s were the gems of the auc...

Source: JIM WATSON / Getty We are truly in the upside-down. The bootleg dictator Donald Trump is doing whatever in his power to keep Americans from using mail-in voting for this upcoming presidential election. Still, it’s quite alright if he and his wife using the reliable method to safely vote. Trump is currently on a mission to make it as hard as possible to allow Americans to safely vote in the upcoming election. He has openly admitted that he is sabotaging the United States Postal Service by not funding the essential service. Trump revealed denying the USPS the money it needs is a part of his plan to ensure it couldn’t handle the influx of mail-in ballots it will most definitely receive due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “If the [coronavirus] bill isn’t gonna get done, that̵...

Kamala Harris Joining Joe Biden’s Ticket As His VP Is Already Paying Off…Literally

Source: MANDEL NGAN / Getty Regardless if you like Joe Biden’s decision to name Kamala Harris as his choice for Vice President of the United States, its already paying off for him…literally. Kamal Harris joining Biden’s ticket is paying huge dividends for Biden already, and it’s only been two days. Before the California senator was named Biden’s running mate, it was a painful process to raise money. That is no longer the case, since Tuesday’s (Aug.11) announcement, the Biden/Harris campaign has raised a record $36 million, and that includes donations from 150,000 new donors, and the influx of cash shows no sign of slowing up. Now, despite some eye rolls from those who can’t seem to look past Kamala’s record as a prosecutor and decisions she made as California’s Attorney General, the enthus...

Shania Twain Announces The Woman in Me: Diamond Edition

Shania Twain has announced a special 25th anniversary reissue of her star-making sophomore album The Woman in Me. The Diamond Edition will be available as an LP, or in two-CD or three-CD packages on October 2nd. Twain made her debut with an eponymous 1993 record. She didn’t write or co-write any of the tracks, and not coincidentally, it was something of a flop. But it did attract the interest of Robert John “Mutt” Lange, who at the time was best known for shepherding Def Leppard to their greatest commercial success on Hysteria. Together, Twain and Lange would embark on one of the great partnerships in country songwriting history, as well more than 16 years of marriage. The Woman in Me not only spawned Twain’s first number-one country hit, it produced three more songs th...

Inspirational One-Armed Drummer Masterfully Covers Slipknot’s “Duality”: Watch

Drummer Jack Thomas lost his right arm in a work accident when he was 17, but he didn’t let that halt his musical ambitions. Five years later, his masterful cover of Slipknot’s “Duality” is proof of that. Of all the drum covers, the cacophonous “Duality” might be one of the most complex and truly difficult for any percussionist. However, Thomas puts on a clinic, proving his virtuosity during the YouTube playthrough. “We all go through hardships,” Thomas said in the video. “We all go through the worst thing that has ever happened to us. For me, it was losing a limb. But regardless, everybody has their struggles. Whether it be financial or even relationships, wherever it might be. We all have those frustrations and struggles.” Thomas, also a skilled bassist, was working toward becoming a pro...
