Kendrick Lamar’s Bickering Gets Brutal in New Short Film We Cry Together: Watch

Tensions are very, very high in We Cry Together, a new short film from Kendrick Lamar. Based on the track from the same name off his recent album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, the clip is a rap-meets-skit that stars Lamar and actress Taylour Paige as a couple whose regular fight blows out of control into a dark debate about the intersection of gender roles, Blackness, and culture. Filmed in a single five-minute take with live vocals, We Cry Together begins like a typical romantic drama: “I’m tired of these emotional ass, ungrateful ass bitches/ Unstable ass, confrontational ass dumb bitches,” Lamar spits over the track’s jazzy beat. “We could go our separate ways right now/ You could move on with your life, I swear to God.” Then, Paige comes in horns blaring: “You love ...

Megadeth Release New Album The Sick, the Dying… And the Dead!: Stream

Megadeth have released their 16th studio album, The Sick, the Dying… And the Dead! The legendary thrash band’s new LP arrives after many trials and tribulations, starting with frontman Dave Mustaine being diagnosed with throat cancer back in 2019. Progress on the album was halted as he underwent treatment, and Mustaine would reveal that he was 100-percent cancer free in February 2020. Then the global pandemic happened, once again shelving the project. And then longtime bassist David Ellefson was ousted from the band after a compromising online sexual encounter went public. Mustaine would replace Ellefson’s bass parts on the album, with Testament’s Steve DiGiorgio re-recording the studio tracks. He then recruited former Megadeth bassist James LoMenzo to join Megadeth’s touring lineup, later...

Yungblud is back with his self-titled third studio album, Yungblud, which arrived on Friday (Sept. 2) via LOCOMOTION/Geffen Records. The rocker announced the album on Instagram back in May, writing, “Everything up to this moment has been a complete explosion of uncensored expression, where I just told the truth and sang about what I felt in that exact moment. the difference here is that i have thought and felt this record so deeply. i went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. i studied it, i bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.” The bottom line, he said, is that his message will remain the same as it has always been: to be his authentic self and e...

Jadakiss And Swizz Beatz Drop Yet Another Song After Funk Flex Challenge [Video]

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty New York is starting to sound like New York again. Jadakiss and Swizz Beatz have blessed us with another song just after Funk Flex challenged them. As per Hip-Hop N More the two Ruff Ryder members seem to be in the kitchen together exclusively. Earlier this month the HOT 97 DJ issued a challenge asking the MC and esteemed producer to deliver a song under a week. As expected the two delivered and begged the question “why New York radio be sounding like Atlanta?”. While the “Why” rapper has not expounded on the line many saw the bar as a direct criticism to the station’s long time stance on playing mostly hit records. Nevertheless the song seemed to be fairly received by locals and the Hip-Hop community overall. [embedded conten...
