Sony Assembles Team to Spinoff PlayStation Games for Mobile
Sony Interactive Entertainment has acquired the Helsinki and Berlin-based Savage Game Studios to adapt PlayStation games for mobile devices. The Savage Game team will join PlayStation Studios Mobile Division, which operates independently from its console development division to focus on “on-the-go gaming.” Together, Sony and Savage Game will be creating experiences for mobile device users “based on new and existing PlayStation IP.” The games will continue to follow Sony’s model of single-player AAA games with an emphasis on narrative.
