Todd Phillips’ Joker 2, aka Joker: Folie à Deux, has received a release date. It will be out on October 4th, 2024, according to a report from Deadline. Phillips confirmed Joker 2 in June by sharing a photo of the script along with a shot of Joaquin Phoenix reading the draft. Just like the original 2019 film, it was penned by Phillips and Scott Silver. Folie à Deux translates to “shared madness” in French, and it could be indeed just that. Last month, news broke that the sequel will be a musical, with Lady Gaga in talks to play Harley Quinn. Production is reportedly on track for this December. The Game took to social media on Monday to share that he would be postponing the release of his forthcoming LP Drillmatic after a rough couple of weeks. He posted a photo of his bandaged fingers, paired with a lengthy Instagram caption explaining his reasoning for the delay. “PSA to any & everyone it may concern,” The Game wrote in the caption. “I’ve always prided myself on my transparency in tow with sharing every part of my life & myself with my family, friends & my fans… the past two weeks have been a nightmare for me. I have witnessed disloyalty on levels unimaginable by people I’ve trusted with my heart, money, career & livelihood.” “Not only have I been backstabbed & betrayed. I’ve been left to pick up the pieces alone,” he continued. “I’m in no way shape or form ...
Beyoncé surprised fans on Wednesday with a four-track “Break My Soul” remix EP, featuring revamped cuts of her popular RENAISSANCE track by Honey Dijon, will.i.am, Terry Hunter and Nita Aviance. The Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am centers on the track’s core beat with a simple, bouncy approach, and Hunter implements church service organs for an ethereal house workout anthem. Meanwhile, Aviance delivers an almost 10-minute rendition with a dream-like cadence, and Dijon clocks in at six-and-a-half minutes with a drum-heavy take. Dijon, who is featured as a producer on RENAISSANCE tracks “Cozy” and “Alien Superstar,” took to Instagram to share her gratitude to Bey following the album’s debut. “Thank you @Beyonce for this incredible moment,” she wrote. “Meeting and working with you on ‘RENAISS...
Playing Lollapalooza is a big step forward for any band. But for Wallows, who were playing the event for the second time in their career, the moment was even more substantial. With a mid-day slot on the T-Mobile stage (one of the two main stages), it was a chance to see how far they’ve come in four years. They’ve been here before, but the pre-game jitters still exist. “There’s more pressure because we’re in a much bigger slot,” frontman Dylan Minnette says in the band’s dressing room a few hours before the set. “And we’re a bigger band compared to what we were then. There was pressure last time since it was our first festival we’d done as Wallows. You try not to have expectations or hopes of what it will look like [from the crowd]. I always get a little nervous before festival sets more th...

The 2022 edition of Tomorrowland just wrapped up this past weekend, and dance music titan Nicky Romero paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Avicii to close out his performance. To wrap up his electrifying set, Romero played “I Could Be The One,” a seminal track that he produced and wrote alongside Avicii in 2012. The record is now prevalently considered a generational dance anthem. As the crowd prepared for the song’s distinctive drop, they could be seen belting along to its timeless lyrics: “I could be the one to make you feel that way / I could be the one to set you free.” Watch the surreal moment below. More than 600 artists performed at this year’s Tomorrowland, marking it as one of the festival’s biggest events to date. Artists included Charlo...
