Animal Collective’s Panda Bear and Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom Team for ‘Edge of the Edge’

Animal Collective’s Panda Bear and Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom have a new collaborative album on the way. Out on Aug. 12, Reset sees them do exactly that. The album is comprised of songs that have been built off of samples. The duo released their latest song from Reset today. Titled “Edge of the Edge,” it features a sample of Randy & the Rainbows’ 1963 doo-wop hit “Denise.” The video for the song is directed by Danny Perez. [embedded content][embedded content] Last month, they released the album’s first single, “Go On,” which sampled the Troggs. The musicians have been working with each other since Sonic Boom mixed Panda Bear’s 2011 album Tomboy. Proceeds from the album will be distributed to a number of charities. US Gamers Spent Less in Q2 2022 Compared to 2021

Gamers in the United States have spent less in Q2 2022 as compared to the year before. According to The Verge, market research firm NPD stated that spending on video games fell by $1.78 billion USD in Q2, with overall spending totalling to only $12.35 billion USD — 13% lower year over year. Dev Patel Intervenes in Knife Fight, Claims There Are “No Heroes”

Actor Dev Patel reportedly intervened in a knife fight in Australia on Monday, August 1st, and played the part to perfection with his selfless and potentially lifesaving act. According to local Australian affiliate 7News, the skirmish took place in Patel’s current hometown of Adelaide when a man and woman began fighting in the streets of the city’s business district. Patel witnessed the altercation already in progress from a nearby convenience store and was amongst a group of witnesses who were able to successfully intercede. However, their attempts did not completely protect the two conflicting parties from harm, as the woman allegedly stabbed the man in the chest.
