Chance the Rapper and Joey Bada$$ took to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon stage on Monday to perform their collaborative track “The Highs & The Lows.” The rappers delivered an inventive rendition of the single, which debuted during Art Basel in Switzerland last month, brought to life by kaleidoscopic visuals and superimposed lyrics. The joint cut was first released alongside a short film produced by Yannis Davy Guibingain France and Italy. Notably, “The Highs & The Lows” is the duo’s second collaboration, following Joey Bada$$’s 2013 single “Wendy N Becky.” While appearing as a musical guest on the late-night show, Chance also spoke with Fallon about the 10th anniversary of his career-defining 10 Day mixtape and his forthcoming Black Star Line Festival with Vi...
In what would be the lone bedroom of a small apartment in San Diego, the musician, guitar pedal builder, and anti-establishment artist known primarily as “Lucky (the monster)” has set up a hub of sorts for their multiple musical acts and guitar pedal business. Their small four-toothed mutt, Rocco, makes his way across the small room, wagging his tail between an array of guitars and mounds of electronic parts. It’s part mad scientist’s laboratory, part musical practice space, and part disorganized corporate headquarters for a rapidly growing online business — but that makes sense when you consider what Lucky’s day-to-day actually looks like. A teacher by day, Lucky’s become known as the head of Demonic Machines, solo artist Great Big Thing Crawling All Over Me (a nod to the old punk song “S...
Hoping to push through with its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft is now trying to please antitrust regulators by saying that the massive video game developer and publisher has no “must have” games. According to new reports, Xbox‘s parent company made a filing with New Zealand’s Commerce Commission stating that the company doesn’t produce any titles that Microsoft finds particularly attractive or necessary. “There is nothing unique about the video games developed and published by Activision Blizzard that is a ‘must have’ for rival PC and console video game distributors that give rise to a foreclosure concern,” the filing wrote. On the flip side, it’s hardly likely that a studio with no “must have” games would justify a $68.7 billion USD buyout price, as Sony points out. In anot...
The chances of purchasing a PlayStation 5 could be higher by the end of 2022 as Sony revealed that stock for the console could be higher. According to reports, CFO Hiroki Totoki said during a recent conference call that an “improvement in component supply” could increase the amount of PS5 stock during the last months of this year. ComicBook adds, however, that since the increase may happen around the holidays, demand for the console will be higher than the rest of the year as more people would like to buy or receive the PS5 as a gift. Ever since its release, players have had a difficult time purchasing the console and have had to either buy a PS5 at a much higher price from a reseller or try their luck in raffles and limited restocks. The global shortage of semi-conductors has evidently pr...
SEGA fans outside of Japan will be disappointed to learn that there’s extremely limited stock for the long-awaited Genesis Mini 2 if you’re not in the region. According to Polygon, the Japanese gaming company has now confirmed that the number of consoles available for those outside of the country will be “one-tenth” the amount of SEGA Genesis Minis sold back in 2019 due to the ongoing global semiconductor shortage. The company said it considered making the Genesis Mini 2 a Japan exclusive but ultimately decided against this thanks to Amazon Japan’s system that’ll allow shipment to the United States and Europe. That said, with the retro console starting at $104 USD on the website, the total cost of importing it will be more than $120 USD due to a shipping fee of $22 USD. Of course, it ...
Prince‘s heirs have finally kissed and made up. The late music legend’s family members and advisers have put to rest all remaining issues involving the disbursement of his $156 million in assets, according to court papers reviewed by SPIN. Prince died in April 2016 at age 57 of a fentanyl overdose, without leaving a will. As such, and because he had no living children or a spouse, his six half-siblings were named heirs. Unfortunately, they could not come to an agreement on how to manage the estate moving forward and frequently found themselves in court. Three half-siblings sold their shares to Primary Wave, while three others kept their shares and retained longtime Prince advisor L. Londell McMillan and Charles Spicer to oversee them. In January, the heirs and the Internal Revenue Service ...

Peter Shapiro has worked both on and off the stage with the biggest names in music history and has overseen some of the most beloved venues in the United States. But after more than 25 years in the business, he’s still a super-fan at heart who loves nothing more than rocking out with and talking shop about the artists who’ve shaped his life. Shapiro, 49, chronicles his remarkable career in his new Hachette book, The Music Never Stops: What Putting on 10,000 Shows Has Taught Me About Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Magic, co-written with longtime collaborator Dean Budnick.
