UFC welterweight champion and mixed martial artist Kamaru Usman is confirmed to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Ryan Coogler‘s upcoming sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Confirmed by his agent, Usman will finally be making an appearance in Marvel Studios‘ massive franchise after expressing his desire to do so for the past few years, previously posting an edited photo of himself as a superhero in Black Panther. The show is based on Projekt Red’s open-world game Cyberpunk 2077 and follows a street kid named David who resides in a technology-obsessed world where body modification is the norm. While playing a delicate balancing act, David works as an Edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw otherwise known as a Cyberpunk. Deadpool 2 director David Leitch has now officially confirmed that a sequel to 2021’s Nobody is now in development. Speaking to Collider in promotion of his new film Bullet Train, the Hollywood creative said that a script is currently being written for the sequel and Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk will be returning to reprise his role as Hutch Mansell, a mysterious former assassin who worked for the government. “Oh, I think everyone’s really excited about it,” Leitch said when asked about the sequel. “Everyone involved is like, ‘Full steam ahead.’ We are in the script process, and I think we had so much fun making that.
