Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante have opened up about the highly anticipated Pantera reunion tour in a new interview. Speaking with SiriusXM’s Eddie Trunk, the guitarist and drummer discussed their aspirations for the shows and the legacy of the late brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. Shakira Facing Eight Years in Prison, $24 Million Fine for Tax Fraud in Spain
Prosecutors in Spain are seeking a prison sentence of eight years and two months for Colombian pop star Shakira after she rejected a settlement deal in her alleged tax fraud case. In July 2021, Shakira (full name Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll) was charged with failing to pay the Spanish government €14.5 million ($15 million) in taxes between 2012 and 2014. According to the AP, prosecutors are also seeking a fine of €24 million ($24 million). The indictment includes six charges against Shakira. Prosecutors in Barcelona have alleged she lived more than half of each year from 2012 through 2014 in Spain and thus should have paid taxes in the country, while Shakira has argued that her fiscal residence was in the Bahamas. Bob Dylan Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Dropped
An unnamed woman who sued Bob Dylan last year, alleging he sexually abused her in 1965 when she was 12 years old, withdrew her suit yesterday, a day after Dylan’s attorneys claimed she destroyed key evidence in the case, “irretrievably” compromising the lawsuit’s integrity. The accuser faced a $50,000 sanction for the violation and the suit can’t be refiled. The voluntarily dismissal comes a few days after the accuser fired her attorneys during discovery. The accuser, who goes by J.C., had alleged that Dylan sexually abused her between April and May 1965 when Dylan was either 23 or 24 years old (Dylan’s birthday is on May 24) at the famed Chelsea Hotel in New York City.
