Last Monday, Beyoncé unveiled “Break My Soul,” the first single off her first proper solo album since 2016’s Lemonade. In an Instagram post on Thursday, the pop icon unveiled the artwork for the album. As you can see below, Beyoncé isn’t holding anything back. Perched atop a shiny, silver horse, the scantily clad singer has her eyes on something in the distance. The post is captioned with “act i,” which could mean that there’s more on the way from the singer. This is what she had to say about the meaning of the album and its accompanying art: Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. ...
After receiving the worldwide release dates for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and new trailer has surfaced revealing how some other characters look in new charged-up forms. On top of showing glimpses of “Orange” Piccolo and Cell Max, one anime clip is getting Dragon Ball Super fans excited as it features a new Saiyan form for Gohan. Creator Akira Toriyama revealed that this new form, now called “Son Gohan Beast,” was originally supposed to be much more menacing with Gohan sporting pale skin from the transformation. In the end, Toriyama felt the look didn’t quite fit Gohan, so instead, elected to show how a wild beast within him has awakened. For the clip, we see that his Super Saiyan emerald eyes are now red, and his hair has elements of SSJ2 mixed with Ultra Instinct. In other anime news...
The next film in the long-running James Bond franchise is “at least two years” away, according to James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli. In a recent interview with Deadline, the producer confirmed that they are working on a “reinvention of Bond” after Daniel Craig stepped down from the role with No Time To Die. “Nobody’s in the running,” Broccoli confirmed as they try to find Craig’s replacement. “We’re working out where to go with him, we’re talking that through. There isn’t a script and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond. We’re reinventing who he is and that takes time. I’d say that filming is at least two years away.” No Time To Die was Craig’s fifth and final stint as 007 after playing...

Prior to joining Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins was the drummer in Alanis Morissette’s touring band when she hit the road in support of her breakthrough album, Jagged Little Pill. During Morissette’s recent stop at London’s O2 Arena on her trek celebrating the 25th anniversary of the record, the singer paid tribute to Hawkins while performing “Ironic.” While Morissette ran through one of her biggest hits, footage of Hawkins both on stage and behind the scenes was shown on the giant screens behind her. After the song was finished, one of the screens simply displayed the words “In Memory of Taylor Hawkins.” Watch fan-shot footage below Hawkins manned the drums in Morissette’s band from 1995 to 1997 after playing gigs for another Canadian singer, Sass Jordan. Whenever he had the opportunit...
KISS’ ongoing farewell tour shows no signs of stopping. In fact, the band plans to add another 100 cities to the itinerary. Gene Simmons broke the news in a recent interview with Chaoszine. When asked when KISS would wrap up the tour and retire, Simmons couldn’t give a definite answer — only that it wouldn’t be anytime soon. “We don’t know,” he said. “We’ve never retired before. This is our first time. It’s like painting a painting or writing a book. When somebody says, ‘When is it gonna be finished?’ You’re in the middle of it; you don’t know.” Advertisement Related Video KISS had originally circled July 17th, 2021 as the date of their final concert — plans that were upheaved by the pandemic. After their itinerary was shifted around, Paul Stanley said that the farewell tour would lik...
Artist of the Month is an accolade given to an up-and-coming artist or group who is poised for the big time. For July 2022, we’re celebrating Momma as they take a swing at fame with their new album Household Name. “I wanna be your next big thing.” So opens Household Name, the latest album from ‘90s revivalists and DIY champs Momma (out Friday, July 1st). And though they seem intimidatingly cool — like success in the music industry would be, like, totally whatever, man — the sentiment is far from ironic. Even if they don’t always take themselves too seriously, Momma is taking the namesake of their record very seriously. They’re going to be household names, or die trying. Inspired by endless label meetings headed nowhere, thousand-dollar-suit execs saying nothing, and a type of rock stardom ...
The Pitch: When we last left the Staten Island mansion of What We Do in the Shadows in Season 3, the house felt a little emptier — Nandor (Kayvan Novak) had just departed for his “Eat, Prey, Love” (sic) tour of self-discovery, and Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) swanned off to England in a wooden crate to join the Worldwide Vampiric Council, with Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) in unwitting tow. Laszlo (Matt Berry), for his part, chose to stay behind, not least because the dead body of Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) gave way to a new, childlike form (also Proksch, pasty round adult features grinning eerily atop a child’s body), which he had to take care of. Cut to a year later, and all that potential energy is lost: All Nandor got from his tour was an erstwhile friendship with a nice family from ...
We are now well and truly in the middle of festival season in the U.K. and the pre-pandemic days of counting down to freedom feel like an eternity ago. With Glastonbury Festival gone for another year, the country is now looking for the next place to attend. Britain has been blessed with some of the best festival lineups in years this time around, and some of the best are still yet to come. Wireless Festival has been a go-to spot for music fans for the last few years, with some of the most-watched and viral performances taking place on its main stages. This year, the festival is coming in the form of three different events across three locations. London’s Crystal Palace and Finsbury Park along with Birmingham’s NEC venue will be welcoming some of the biggest stars in the world over th...
Nick Ghanbarian and Chris Guglielmo of Bayside are far from the first musicians to have a love of coffee. Hell, caffeine’s been one of the key ingredients in keeping bands running for as long as the two have both existed. But while other artists are merely fueling their addiction as consumers, Ghanbarian and Guglielmo took things a step further by launching Legal Speed Coffee Roasters in early 2017 and becoming the suppliers rather than the drinkers. What started as a little passion project evolved into a legitimate business, with the Orange County-based company selling its goods directly to consumers à la carte via their website, on a subscription basis, and even through independent coffee shops. With Bayside still actively touring (they’re currently on the road with Thrice), the band’s r...
