Four Tet Wins Streaming Royalties Dispute With Domino

Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) has won his royalty battle with his former label, Domino. The label agreed to backpay roughly $70,000 in historical royalties going back to 2001, when he signed his record contract. The amount is the difference between the 50 percent rate that Hebden believed he should receive for streaming and downloads, and the 18 percent rate that Domino—like many other labels—was paying. As well as paying the 50 percent rate going forward, Domino will reimburse Hebden’s legal costs and interest on his lost earnings. Tennessee secretary of state Tre Hargett was arrested for driving under the influence late Friday night while leaving Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, Associated Press reports. “On Friday night after leaving the Bonnaroo Music Festival, I was stopped by the Tullahoma Police Department and subsequently arrested for DUI,” Hargett said in a statement Saturday. “Driving Under the Influence is a serious matter, and I regret the circumstances that led to my arrest.
