Kate Bush ran all the way to No. 1. Her resurgent hit “Running Up That Hill” has officially topped the UK Singles Chart on Friday, June 17th, nearly 37 years after it was first released. As the lead single off the singer’s fifth album, Hounds of Love, the track originally peaked at No. 3 in her native UK upon its 1985 release, and then hit No. 12 when it re-entered the chart back in 2012. Everett Peck, who created the animated series Duckman and Squirrel Boy, died June 14th of cancer, Deadline reports. He was 71 years old. His passing was mourned by Jason Alexander, who voiced Eric Tiberius Duckman for four seasons at the same time he starred on Seinfeld. “I have just sadly learned of the passing of Everett Peck, the genius animator and cartoonist who brought Duckman to life,” Alexander wrote on Twitter. “It was an honor to voice his beloved creation and a joy to have known Everett. He was one of a glorious kind. The classic Japanese anime Astroboy is officially receiving a reboot. The series, which has largely been regarded as one of the best-selling manga series of all time, will be rebooted by the creator and director of Miraculous, Thomas Astruc. According to Variety, Astruc will be directing the new CGI-3D series, which is set to consist of 52 half-hour episodes. Marvel’s Next Disney+ Series is ‘Wonder Man’
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new Disney+ series based on Wonder Man, an early-day Avenger, is currently in development led by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton and Brooklyn Nine-Nine writer Andrew Guest. While development is still in the early stages, it’s reported that the film may begin filming in 2023. The character behind Wonder Man is Simon Williams, the son of a rich industrialist and daytime Hollywood stuntman who inherited his father’s munitions factory. Tom Hardy took to Instagram to share a picture of what look’s to be the title page of a script for the untitled Venom 3. The post does not reveal much information; however, it was revealed that Venom 1 and 2‘s screenwriter, Kelly Marcel, has written the script for the third movie as well.
