Joker 2: Lady Gaga in Talks to Play Harley Quinn in Musical Sequel

Big news regarding the Joker sequel Todd Phillips teased last week: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joker 2 is going to be a musical, and Lady Gaga is in talks to join Joaquin Phoenix as Harley Quinn. While the report doesn’t say much about what a musical Joker would look like, it does make sense to cast the singer in such a project. THR  says that neither Gaga nor Phoenix have been completely secured for the sequel, which, according to the script cover Phillips posted to Instagram, is called Joker: Folie à Deux. The French title translates to “shared madness,” which tipped us off to Harley Quinn’s appearance in the sequel. Now we’ll just have to wait to see how the pair’s “Bad Romance” fares on screen (sorry). Prior to Gaga, Margot Robbie played Harley Q...

Marilyn Monroe Dress Appears Damaged Following Kim Kardashian Met Gala Appearance

Kim Kardashian spurred some Internet ire when she wore Marilyn Monroe’s dress to the 2022 Met Gala, especially after it was revealed that she couldn’t really fit in the invaluable dress in the first place. Now, it looks like those concerns may have been warranted, because the iconic garment appears to be damaged following the event. The Marilyn Monroe Collection posted before-and-after photos of Monroe’s dress, a Jean Louis design that she wore while singing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962, to Instagram. In the photo taken after Kardashian’s May 2nd Met Gala appearance, the back zipper appears stretched and crystals are missing from the garment, leaving only loose thread behind. “So much for keeping ‘the integrity of the dress,’” the account captioned the post. ...

Lady Gaga in Talks to Join Joaquin Phoenix in ‘Joker 2’ Musical

The Joker is back, and this time he’s bringing a friend. Lady Gaga is in early talks to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in director Todd Phillips’ sequel to Joker, the 2019 Oscar-winning, $1 billion Warner Bros. hit based on the DC character. Phillips has been co-writing the script with Joker co-writer Scott Silver for some time and has finally shown it to the studio. Last week, Phillips revealed on social media the title of the new project — Joker: Folie à deux — the title referencing a medical term for an identical or similar mental disorder that affects two or more individuals, usually members of the same family. And while the same social media post showed Phoenix reading the script, the actor’s involvement is not exactly a legal fait...
