In the past couple of years, trading cards, particularly Pokémon TCGs have seen a resurgence in the resale market. Memorabilia auction companies including Heritage Auctions, Goldin Auctions and PWCC Auctions have all had record-breaking sales of various Pokémon cards including a first edition Holo Charizard which last fetched approximately $420,000 USD and remains one of the most expensive Pokémon card to date. The Pokémon frenzy continued when YouTube turned wrestler Logan Paul showed off his recently acquired $5,275,000 USD PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator Card at WrestleMania 38. Paul set a new Guinness World Record for the most expensive Pokémon trading cards sold at a private sale. Due to its sale conditions, Paul’s card is not included in this list. When it comes to auctioned Pokémon...
Bad Bunny has dropped off an accompanying music video for his Un Verano Sin Ti cut, “Tití Me Preguntó.” Helmed by his longtime collaborator Stillz, the visual begins with a young boy getting rejected by a girl he likes. Bad Bunny then appears, presumably as the older version of that young boy, enjoying a life that doesn’t see him chained to just one woman. At one point he gets kidnapped by unknown men who dress him up and drop him off at his wedding, where he meets Gabriela Berligeri — his girlfriend in real life — at the altar. Un Verano Sin Ti debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and briefly overtook Future’s I NEVER LIKED YOU as 2022’s most-streamed artist. That record was taken by Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, then by Harry Styles’ Harry’...
Denzel Curry has joined forces with Key Glock for a remix of his Melt My Eyez See Your Future lead single, “Walkin.” Clocking in at just under four minutes, the remix features an additional verse from the Memphis rapper. “Tomorrow’s never certain and we all go through different obstacles everyday. The objective is to keep on walkin, or keep pushing forward,” Curry said in a statement. “I reached out to Glock because i felt like he’s the perfect example of “Walkin”. Based on everything he been through & also being independent, it hasn’t stopped his grind. I’ve always been a fan of Memphis hip hop so it just felt right.” Curry is currently on the European leg of his sold out world tour. He is set to return to North America this month, performing in Queens, Miami, Dallas and Chicago ...
Kim Petras is first up the hill in what is sure to be a flood of new covers for Kate Bush’s iconic pop number “Running Up That Hill” after it received a crucial sync placement in the first volume of Stranger Things 4. The release has nothing to do with the Stranger Things sensation and its subsequent Billboard charts-jumping resurgence, but is actually just a coincidental case of good timing. The track arrives as an exclusive Amazon Original for Pride Month and currently leads off PROUD, Amazon Music’s marquee playlist for LGBTQ+ artists’ new releases. Stream it below. It’s been less than a week since Stranger Things 4 debuted on Netflix, and yet the Kate Bush classic has already permeated the zeitgeist thanks to its part in the new season’s plot. While acknowledging her long-held personal...
Maggie Rogers has dropped “Want Want,” another preview of her upcoming album, Surrender. The new track features dreamy synths that are joined by hard-hitting drums during the build-up to the chorus, when Rogers encourages listeners to seize the day. “If you want-want what you want-want, then you want it,” she sings. “Can’t hide what you desire once you’re on it/ Can’t fake what you can’t break up with.” Rogers initially debuted “Want Want” during her appearance at Coachella last month. It comes on the heels of the optimistic “There’s Where I Am,” which marked the first single from the album and was released in early April. In light of the horrific mass shooting at a Uvalde, Texas elementary school, Stevie Nicks has spoken out in favor of stricter gun control. The Fleetwood Mac singer posted an emotional statement to social media, imploring law makers to “make it really hard” for people to purchase assault rifles. “My hope for this country is that the lawmakers just find a way to make buying an assault rifle — more difficult,” Nicks began her statement. “There is just no reason to have a gun that would disintegrate a deer — or a small animal, if you are, indeed, an honorable hunter. When those guns go into the hands of obviously disturbed people, it gives them a sense of unbelievable power that they have never felt before. Power, used in a bad way, is the opposite of ‘power’ used in a good way. Once people ha...
