Everything Coming to and Leaving Netflix in August 2026

Netflix has locked in its August 2026 lineup, and the month plays like a summer blowout built for genre fans. The headline draw for the streamer’s culture-forward crowd is the return of Outer Banks, whose fifth season, which Netflix has billed as the show’s last, drops August 20 to send the Pogues off on a final treasure hunt. Around it, the platform loads up on horror, franchise marathons and a fresh batch of originals.

The month front-loads the nostalgia on August 1. The first seven Fast & Furious films arrive in a single drop, joined by a near-complete run of the Child’s Play franchise, the ’90s touchstone Clueless, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler and the Keanu Reeves thriller Speed. Horror keeps building from there, with Five Nights at Freddy‘s 2 on August 3, Blake Lively’s shark thriller The Shallows on August 15, and the killer-doll reboot M3GAN on August 24.

On the originals side, the returning-series calendar is deep. My Life With the Walter Boys comes back for its third season on August 6, followed by Tires Season 3 on August 13, Love Is Blind: UK Season 3 on August 19, and Outer Banks on August 20. The month rounds out with new seasons of Leanne, Graveyard and Sheriff Labrador, plus the debut of vampire drama Talamasca: The Secret Order on August 23 and stand-up specials from Ricky Gervais, Kelsey Cook and others.

On the way out, the biggest departures include Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance on August 25, Disney’s classic sitcom Home Improvement on August 1, and a pair of AMC titles, Fear the Walking Dead and A Discovery of Witches, currently slated to exit August 19 unless the deals are renewed.
