Even most Windows users would be surprised that Microsoft’s once-dominant Internet Explorer was still operational until today, but now the web browser has officially been shut down. Now out of support, Internet Explorer 11 has been pushed out in favor of Microsoft Edge after nearly 27 years in existence. Microsoft first announced IE would be retired in May 2021, revealing June 15th, 2022 to be its expiration date. “Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure, and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications,” the company wrote in a blog post. John Hinckley Jr., who shot President Ronald Reagan and three other men in an unhinged bid to impress Jodie Foster, will not be performing in Brooklyn after all. Before the LP is released on August 26th via Sub Pop, the New Zealand musician has shared another sample of it today with the new single “Dave’s Place.” Like most of his songs, McKenzie originally wrote “Dave’s Place” on his guitar at home.
