Osun governor urges Muslims to embrace coronavirus vaccine
Gov. Ishaq Oyetola of Osun on Saturday urged Muslims to support government”s effort and embrace COVID-19 vaccination to curtail the spread of the life threatening virus. Oyetola gave the advice at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Abuja Branch 26th Annual Ramadan Lecture and special prayer for the nation, held at the society’s Central Mosque at Maitama District, in Abuja. 10-year old girl throws step-brother into well in Ondo
A 10 year old girl identified as Suliyat Abubakar has allegedly thrown his step brother into the well in Akure, the Ondo State capital. The girl said she took the action because her father showed more love to her step brother more than her and her other siblings. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Bolaji Salami, who paraded the girl at the state police command, Akure said the suspect would be prosecuted accordingly. He said the young girl was arrested behind the Central Mosque, Akure. Ghana’s ruling NPP holds Islamic thanksgiving prayers today
Ghana’s governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled an Islamic thanksgiving prayer for President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President-elect, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the Central Mosque in Abossey Okai. The thanksgiving prayer is to express gratitude to the Almighty Allah for a successful election and the re-election of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia. The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu will lead the thanksgiving prayers after Jummah (Friday congregational prayers) at the Central Mosque.
