Nigerian government establishes 20 new marriage registries
The Federal Government has established 20 new Federal Marriage Registries across the country in a bid to bring Federal Marriage Registry closer to the grassroots. Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola disclosed this Friday in Abuja at a National Stakeholders’ Conference on the Administration and Conduct of Statutory Marriage in Nigeria. According to him, efforts are ongoing to have Federal Marriage Registries in all the State Capitals of the Federation. NTDC explores Lagos creative communities on Google Arts & Culture
The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) has concluded plans to explore Lagos creative communities on Google Arts & Culture in five different ways. The project tagged; ‘Eko for Show’, is in partnership with Google Arts & Culture towards celebrating Lagos and its creative communities. The Director-General of NTDC, Mr Folorunsho Coker, who made the revelation in an interaction with the media, said that Lagos is one of Africa’s fastest-growing cities and that its creative scene is taking the world by storm. The presidency has said President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his condolences to the families of citizens who lost their loved ones in the recent spate of killings in Benue State. Boy George Biopic Karma Chameleon to Start Filming in Summer 2021
In 2019, when Boy George announced his biopic, he mentioned that he wanted Sophie Turner to play him. Now that biopic is becoming more of a reality. George’s film now has a title —Karma Chameleon because of course — and finds the singer saying that “there are rumours of Keanu Reeves popping in,” according to Deadline. Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen, but the film, which is produced by Millennium Media, is tentatively set to begin filming in London and Bulgaria.
