Travis Scott Announces First Festival Performances Since Astroworld

After performing and DJing at two private events earlier this year, Travis Scott is slated to perform publicly for the first time since the tragic Astroworld 2021 music festival that left 10 dead and countless injured. Scott is headlining three Primavera Sound festivals in South America: He’ll perform in São Paulo, Brazil on November 6; Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 12; and Santiago, Chile on November 13. Scott is also billed to appear at Miami’s E11even nightclub on May 7, as TMZ points out. A source close to the situation tells Pitchfork that Scott will host but will not be performing at the event. Klaus Schulze, the pioneering German electronic composer, has died, his representatives confirmed in a statement. Schulze died Tuesday (April 26) following a long illness. Frank Uhle, the managing director of his record label, SPV, wrote that while Schulze had been ill, his death was “sudden.” “We lose and will miss a good personal friend,” Uhle wrote in his statement. “One of the most influential and important composers of electronic music—a man of conviction and an exceptional artist. Our thoughts in this hour are with his wife, sons and family. Post Malone Reveals Release Date for New Album Twelve Carat Toothache

Post Malone has revealed the release date for his new album Twelve Carat Toothache: The follow-up to 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding is out June 3. The new record, according to a Billboard profile, will include Malone’s single with the Weeknd, “One Right Now.” Twelve Carat Toothache will clock in at 45 minutes, according to Billboard. New Brian Eno Documentary in the Works

A new documentary about Brian Eno is in the works. The career-spanning Eno is helmed by Helvetica director Gary Hustwit, who was granted access to hundreds of hours of never-before-seen footage, unreleased music from Eno’s archive, and visual art. The film will be released in multiple versions. According to a press release, Eno will employ “groundbreaking generative technology in its creation and exhibition” in order to provide unique viewing experiences via multiple digital formats.
