He has served as the director of music at the Ibiza Rocks Group where he was responsible for talent booking, event programming, and creative direction. Sean Nicholas Savage has announced his new album, Shine, with a video for the title track. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with Mac DeMarco, who also shot the album’s cover photo, on production. It’s out July 22 via Arbutus. Check out the tracklist and the video for “Shine” below. Cass McCombs has shared a new song about the loss of a close friend. “Belong to Heaven” was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, and it features Danielle Haim on drums and backing vocals; Shahzad Ismaily on bass, keys and piano; Frank LoCastro on keys; and Buddy Ross on hammond organ. The Chaplin sisters recorded additional vocals for the track, which you can listen to below. McCombs has worked with Rechtshaid on three of his previous albums: 2009’s Catacombs, as well as Wit’s End, and Humor Risk, both from 2011. Katie Bejsiuk, formerly the leader of Free Cake for Every Creature, has announced her new album The Woman on the Moon with the lead single “Onion Grass.” The LP is the first under her father’s original surname; the first generation American born to Ukranians changed it before his daughter was born.
