Youtube is now integrating various premium streaming services into the main app with a new Primetime Channel feature. The media company is honing in on growth and partnerships strategies to become the prominent content hub with YouTube TV and other services under the platform. Upon release, there will be a total of 30 services available to sign up for, with AMC+, Paramount+, Showtime and Starz being highlighted. The streaming services will be located within YouTube’s Movies & Shows section on the app’s main page. Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly departing the starring role of Elizabeth Holmes in Adam McKay‘s film about the biotech entrepreneur. Disney+ has recently dropped a series featuring Amanda Seyfried as Holmes in The Dropout. The New York Times‘ Kyle Buchanan was the first to report the departure, tweeting that Lawrence herself told him that she came to the decision afte watching Seyfried play Holmes. Joe Russo has revealed that the upcoming live-action Hercules will be a “more experimental” musical for a TikTok-trained audience. In a recent interview with Variety, the Russo brother confirmed that their take on the 1997 animated feature will be “a little bit more experimental in tone, a little bit more experimental in execution.” He brought up the fact that there can be issues in translating the film into a musical, adding, “Audiences today have been trained by TikTok, right? What is their expectation of what that musical looks like and feels like? Aubrey Plaza is reportedly joining the cast of Marvel Studios‘ Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Sources have not revealed the role of the actress nor the extent of her involvement. Plaza, who currently stars in HBO’s The White Lotus, is joining Kathryn Hahn and Emma Caulfield Ford, who will be reprising their WandaVision roles of Agatha Harkness and Dottie. It looks as if Morgan Freeman is in talks with EuropaCorp and Village Roadshow to be a part of the Lucy spinoff series. The series is based on the 2014 hit action film starring Scarlett Johansson. Variety reported that the two companies are partnering with one another to develop and produce the spinoff series and are currently in advanced negotiations with Morgan Freeman to star in the series.
