U.S. Theaters To Offer $3 USD Tickets on September 3rd

As the summer winds down, National Cinema Day is just around the corner, and theaters across the United States are hoping to give movie lovers a chance to enjoy some of the most highly-anticipated blockbusters of the season for a more affordable price. On September 3rd, cinemas across the nation announced that they will offer discounted $3 USD tickets. Over 3,000 theaters across the U.S. including major chains like AMC are participating. All major film studios have also agreed, meaning that there will be over 30,000 screens involved in the discounted offering. ‘WandaVision’ Director Matt Shakman Reportedly in Talks to Helm ‘Fantastic Four’ Film

Matt Shakman could be directing Marvel‘s upcoming Fantastic Four film following the exit of Jon Watts. According to reports, the WandaVision director is currently “in early talks” with the studio and although Marvel has not formally offered him the job, “things are headed in the right direction.” Deadline adds, however, that the search for Watts’ replacement could last until the fall as Marvel is also speaking with other candidates. ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ Easter Egg Teases Wolverine Joining MCU

Ahead of the debut of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Episode 2 of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law featured an Easter Egg teasing the upcoming arrival of Wolverine. Aside from other teasers, a teaser for the iconic mutant shows up during a scene where Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters is looking for a job. The computer screen shows references to Ant-Man, Thor, and Iron Man, before showing two interesting links. One reads, “Man Fights With Metal Claws in Bar Brawl” and another touches on events pertaining to the Eternals. As we enter the final days of August, Disney+ has unveiled its slate of new programming for September 2022. Next month’s list is led by the three-episode premiere of Star Wars: Andor on September 21, along with the Disney+ debut of Thor: Love and Thunder, the live-action Pinnochio and Hocus Pocus 2. A PSA 10 Elon Musk-Signed U.S. $1 Dollar Bill Is Now up for Auction

Like Mark Zuckerberg’s collectible little league card, another collectible tied to a tech billionaire is going up for auction. This time around, it is a $1 USD dollar bill signed by Elon Musk. Actioned by Musk’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Gwynne, the two met in 1994 at the University of Pennsylvania. The bill is signed and PSA rated GEM MT 10 with a clear autograph on the left side. Currently bidding at $2,662 USD, the bill has an estimated sale price of $5,000 USD with 25 more days to go for the auction. On top of the U.S. dollar, Gwynne is also selling a number of photographs, a signed birthday card, and a 14K-gold necklace that was gifted to her by Musk. According to reports, Netflix has decided against renewing its live-action Resident Evil series for a second series. Effectively canceling the show, the eight-episode series premiered July 14 and is loosely based on Capcom‘s Resident Evil survival horror game franchise. Directed by Bronwen Hughes at Constantin Film, Resident Evil stars Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez. Debuting around the same time as Stranger Things‘ latest season, Resident Evil garnered 72.7 million hours viewed to rank #2 in its first week on Netflix. ‘Aquaman,’ ‘Shazam!’ Sequels Delayed Reportedly Due to Cost-Cutting Measures

The release dates of the Aquaman and Shazam! sequels have been delayed once again. According to reports, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will now premiere on December 25, 2023 while Shazam! Fury of the Gods will take over Aquaman 2’s old date of March 17, 2023 instead of its December date. Both films will see franchise leads Jason Momoa and Zachary Levi return as the titular superheroes. The Hollywood Reporter adds that the delays could stem from Warner Bros. While Umbrella Academy just announced its fourth and final season, the show’s creator Steven Blackman, already has a new project in the works. Blackman will be adapting the action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn into a series for Netflix. Launched in 2017 from Guerilla Games and Sony, Horizon Zero Dawn follows a hunter named Aloy on her journey to discover more about her past in a world that’s been overrun by machine creatures.
