The Anime for ‘Kaiju No. 8’ Has Been Confirmed

It has just been announced that Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8 manga will be adapted for anime. The popular Shonen Jump+ manga — published in English by VIZ Media — involves Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro as they attempt to join the Japanese Defense Force in order to protect the city from monsters known as kaiju. While Mina finds great success, Kafka contines to fail his placement and is left as a cleaner of the dead bodies of kaiju. Kafka’s life suddenly changes when a talking kaiju flies into his body and transforms him into “Kaiju No. 8.” There are currently no details on when the first episode will air, but there is a teaser from TOHO Animation which can be viewed above.
