Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle has dropped the official uncensored trailer for his upcoming star-studded film, Babylon. The film features Brad Pitt as the titular character joined by Margot Robbie, Tobey Maguire, Diego Calva, Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. Babylon is slated to be an American epic period comedy-drama set in 1920s Los Angeles. The iconic comedian and actor last took the stage in 2019, following the release of his Netflix special, 100% Fresh, which showcased his signature blend of musical and comedic performances. The comedy special hit the streaming platform a year before he went on tour and since then, Sandler has been a part of a multitude of projects with Netflix including Uncut Gems and sports drama Hustle. Officially announced at SDCC 2022 back in July, alongside a host of announcements at Disney‘s recent D23 Expo, Marvel Studios‘ offered a short film highlighting upcoming developments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Included in the clip was a first look at the new logo for Daredevil: Born Again. Building on the title card unveiled back in July, the new look reveals Daredevil’s new motif. The logo is set to be part of The Man Without Fear’s MCU costume and builds on the comic book look of the hero. Jacob Elordi is set to portray Elvis Presley in A24 and Sofia Coppola‘s next film, Priscilla. According to the reports, the upcoming film is based on Priscilla Beaulieu Presley’s memoir Elvis and Me and will see Cailee Spaeny star opposite Elordi as Priscilla. The book, which was published in 1985, is Priscilla’s own account of her relationship with Elvis, including their affairs, the effect of the Beatles’ music industry domination, their marriage and eventual divorce. Coinciding with a special advanced screening for the first two episodes of the upcoming series in Tokyo, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War received a new trailer. The latest promotional video announced more cast members, theme songs, release timeline, and premiere date. According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Omar Sy, best known for his role as gentleman thief Assane Diop in Lupin, is in talks to play Yasuke in a live-action series from Netflix. Yasuke is a real historical figure, known as the world’s first non-Japanese Samurai. Traveling from Africa to Japan in 1579, Yasuke served under the prominent feudal lord Oda Nobunaga and quickly rose through the ranks to become a samurai within a year. At around 6 foot 2, he was a towering figure when men at that time were historically shorter in stature. While the Yasuke anime incorporated fantasy elements from folklore, the new upcoming series will be a dramatization of Yasuke’s story, focusing on his progression and friendship with Nobunaga. During Disney‘s D23 Expo on Saturday, Marvel Studios unveiled the trailer for its first television special: a black-and-white Halloweek horror flick, dubbed Werewolf by Night. Starring Gael Garcia Bernal, the scary movie takes cues from 1903s- and ’40s cinematic styles, telling the story of Jack Russell, a man who belongs to a family of lycanthropes and carries a curse that ultimately turns him into a werewolf.
