Two commissioned reports from WarnerMedia have claimed that bots and fake accounts/users were behind the fan-led social campaign to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Rolling Stone obtained copies of these reports and revealed that at least 13% of the accounts that contributed to the conversation surrounding the Snyder Cut were considered fake, with that number three to five percent higher than experts say are ordinary for trending topics. Netflix has announced they are bringing Sam Raimi‘s iconic Spider-Man trilogy to its platform, with subscribers in the United States able to start watching it on the streaming platform starting from August 1. The announcement was revealed in a tweet showcasing a meme from 2002’s Spider-Man, which features Kirsten Dunst‘s Mary-Jane Watson and Tobey Maguire‘s Peter Parker, with the caption, “He said our Spider-Man trilogy is coming to Netflix on August 1!” Raimi’s trilogy was released in 2002, 2004 and 2007, and saw Maguire’s Spider-Man battle Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Uncle Ben’s killer Flint Marko/Sandman, Harry Osborn and Venom. It took nine movies and 42 years for Star Wars to finally confirm that Leia Organa is force sensitive and has had Jedi training, but fans were nonetheless delighted to see a young Leia and Luke sparring during a flashback of their early training days. Universal Pictures has released the first official trailer for Halloween Ends. The upcoming slasher will pick up where 2021’s Halloween Kills left off, with Jamie Lee Curtis’ original heroine Laurie Strode continuing her personal fight against Michael Myers. The one-minute trailer shows Laurie and Michael violently facing off against each other, with the latter also haunting the other residents of Haddonfield. It also plays into the nostalgia of the beloved franchise, with scenes from the older films being weaved into the recent trilogy. Roku has shared a first look at Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey in WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story where she will be starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe as the titular character. Netflix has officially announced that it will be acquiring Sydney-based animation studio Animal Logic. The duo builds on a strong ongoing partnership in the past, working together on films such as The Magician’s Elephant directed by Wendy Rogers, and the recently announced The Shrinking of the Treehorns animated film. Founded in 1991, Animal Logic has produced blockbusters such as Happy Feet, The Lego Movie, and Peter Rabbit. While anime fans across the globe might’ve been a little disappointed that Crunchyroll canceled its ad-supported free tier back in March, the company is now hoping to give back by reducing prices for its Mega Fan tier across 95 different countries. Some of the countries in the list include Hong Kong, Brazil, Egypt, Croatia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, but rates will vary depending on your region. Fans in the U.K. will see a 25% discount while users in India will see a price drop of a whopping 88%. Brazilian fans will be able to cut costs by around 37%. Craig McCracken, the original creator, is developing reboots of his beloved animated shows The Powerpuff Girls  ¸QWAZESXDRCFGHB HQand Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. According to reports, the upcoming reboots were announced by Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. and will be created over at Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. This marks the first time McCracken is attached to develop a project for The Powerpuff Girls since its end in 2005; he was not involved in the creation of the 2016 spinoff nor the live-action series from the CW that is yet to air. Netflix has shared a new trailer for its upcoming anime series Tekken: Bloodline. The show adapted from Bandai Namco’s Japanese fighting game franchise, Tekken, which has cemented itself as one of the best-selling video game series of all time since its first release in 1994. This new anime is due to arrive on the streamer in roughly a month. Available in multiple languages, the show is set between the timeline of the Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 games. Hugh Jackman will lead the voice cast of Hulu‘s upcoming adult animated comedy series Koala Man, according to Variety. The series, which Hulu ordered straight to series in March of last year, hails from Rick and Morty co-creators Justin Roiland and Michael Cusack.
