Bots, Fake Accounts Reportedly Led Fan Campaign to Release ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’

Two commissioned reports from WarnerMedia have claimed that bots and fake accounts/users were behind the fan-led social campaign to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Rolling Stone obtained copies of these reports and revealed that at least 13% of the accounts that contributed to the conversation surrounding the Snyder Cut were considered fake, with that number three to five percent higher than experts say are ordinary for trending topics. Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man’ Trilogy Is Coming to Netflix

Netflix has announced they are bringing Sam Raimi‘s iconic Spider-Man trilogy to its platform, with subscribers in the United States able to start watching it on the streaming platform starting from August 1. The announcement was revealed in a tweet showcasing a meme from 2002’s Spider-Man, which features Kirsten Dunst‘s Mary-Jane Watson and Tobey Maguire‘s Peter Parker, with the caption, “He said our Spider-Man trilogy is coming to Netflix on August 1!” Raimi’s trilogy was released in 2002, 2004 and 2007, and saw Maguire’s Spider-Man battle Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Uncle Ben’s killer Flint Marko/Sandman, Harry Osborn and Venom. Netflix has officially announced that it will be acquiring Sydney-based animation studio Animal Logic. The duo builds on a strong ongoing partnership in the past, working together on films such as The Magician’s Elephant directed by Wendy Rogers, and the recently announced The Shrinking of the Treehorns animated film. Founded in 1991, Animal Logic has produced blockbusters such as Happy Feet, The Lego Movie, and Peter Rabbit. Crunchyroll Is Cutting Prices for Premium Anime Subscriptions Across 95 Countries

While anime fans across the globe might’ve been a little disappointed that Crunchyroll canceled its ad-supported free tier back in March, the company is now hoping to give back by reducing prices for its Mega Fan tier across 95 different countries. Some of the countries in the list include Hong Kong, Brazil, Egypt, Croatia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, but rates will vary depending on your region. Fans in the U.K. will see a 25% discount while users in India will see a price drop of a whopping 88%. Brazilian fans will be able to cut costs by around 37%. Unfortunately, some countries are excluded from the list, and those include the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and more.
