Lance Reddick has released his statement on Netflix‘s cancellation of their live-action Resident Evil. The actor took to Twitter to share a short video addressing the show’s cancellation, thanking the fans and all the people involved in the making of their adaptation. “As all of you are well aware by now, our show, Resident Evil on Netflix, has been cancelled, and the haters and the trolls not withstanding,” he began, before stating his gratitude to the fans who tuned in and loved the series for what it was. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige will reportedly star in Eddie Murphy‘s Beverly Hills Cop sequel. While their roles have not been disclosed, Deadline reports that the upcoming Netflix film, helmed by Mark Molloy, will be entitled Axel Foley. Production on the film is currently underway and sees Murphy return as Axel Foley for the first time since 1994’s Beverly Hills Cop III. The actor will also serve as producer alongside Jerry Bruckheimer,  Chad Oman and Melissa Reid, Will Beall as scriptwriter and Charisse Hewitt-Webster and Ray Angelic as executive producers. In light of Ezra Miller‘s recent arrests and controversies in the past few years, the non-binary actor who is the lead in The Flash, recently met with Warner Bros. leadership to discuss the future of the film. Just earlier this month, Miller released a public apology to fans and has reassured that they will be commited to doing whatever is necessary to deal with their mental health issues. Netflix is reportedly looking at a $7 USD to $9 USD price tag for its upcoming ad-supported tier. According to Bloomberg, the streaming service is looking to start off slow with the ads, introducing around four minutes of commercials per hour — a much lower rate than its rivals. The ads will be played before and during programs, with Netflix planning to hold off on utilizing too many tailored commercials and allowing subscribers to watch the same ads in a non-repetitive manner. In addition, Netflix plans on striking smaller deals with advertisers as to not “overpromise and overwhelm viewers with the spots.” Netflix’s ad-supported option is scheduled to launch between October to December 2022 in at least six different markets; a global rollout may not occur until early 2023. As the summer winds down, National Cinema Day is just around the corner, and theaters across the United States are hoping to give movie lovers a chance to enjoy some of the most highly-anticipated blockbusters of the season for a more affordable price. On September 3rd, cinemas across the nation announced that they will offer discounted $3 USD tickets. Over 3,000 theaters across the U.S. including major chains like AMC are participating. Matt Shakman could be directing Marvel‘s upcoming Fantastic Four film following the exit of Jon Watts. According to reports, the WandaVision director is currently “in early talks” with the studio and although Marvel has not formally offered him the job, “things are headed in the right direction.” Deadline adds, however, that the search for Watts’ replacement could last until the fall as Marvel is also speaking with other candidates. Shakman played an instrumental role in Marvel Studios‘ foray into Disney+, serving as director of the Emmy-winning and first Marvel Studios series, WandaVision. Ahead of the debut of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Episode 2 of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law featured an Easter Egg teasing the upcoming arrival of Wolverine. Aside from other teasers, a teaser for the iconic mutant shows up during a scene where Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters is looking for a job. The computer screen shows references to Ant-Man, Thor, and Iron Man, before showing two interesting links. One reads, “Man Fights With Metal Claws in Bar Brawl” and another touches on events pertaining to the Eternals. Actioned by Musk’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Gwynne, the two met in 1994 at the University of Pennsylvania. The bill is signed and PSA rated GEM MT 10 with a clear autograph on the left side. Currently bidding at $2,662 USD, the bill has an estimated sale price of $5,000 USD with 25 more days to go for the auction.
