Merriam-Webster has officially uneiled its 2021 Word of the Year: “Vaccine.” The word was selected based on the lookup volume, the increase in interest in “Vaccine” as the year progressed and yearly increases in searches. ”Vaccine lookups increased 600%, and the story is about much more than medicine,” Peter Sokolowski, Merriam-Webster’s Editor at Large, said in a statement. “It was at the center of debates about personal choice, political affiliation, professional regulations, school safety, healthcare inequity, and so much more. The biggest science event of the year quickly became the biggest political debate in our country, and the word at the center of both stories is vaccine. Few words can express so much about one moment in time.” The lookups of “Vaccine” increased on the websit...

There’s no question that Tony Leung‘s stellar portrayal of Wenwu in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was one of the most compelling aspects of the Marvel flick, but it now turns out that his character is more responsible for the creation of the Avengers than anyone would’ve imagined. As reported by Comicbook, a deleted scene from the recent movie showed Wenwu shortly after his wife Ying Li’s death, when he discussed his involvement with the Ten Rings division in Afghanistan and his meeting with Raza, the villain responsible for kidnapping Tony Stark during his trip to the Middle East. While Wenwu himself doesn’t specify if he was behind the kidnapping, he was nonetheless responsible for the terrorist group’s disruptive efforts in the region, which ultimately led to Tony ...

In an interview with Huffpost KR, Hellbound director Yeon Sang-ho said the sequel will follow the original model, releasing first as a webtoon, and later in video. The cartoon will release sometime in the second half of next year, and there are currently no specific plans for season 2 filming. As the intellectual property rights for Hellbound belong to Sang-ho and his fellow cartoonist Choi Gyu-Seok, if Netflix decides not to do season 2, there is a possibility it will be done through other platforms.
