Sony’s PlayStation 5 Will Finally Support Variable Refresh Rates

With both PC and Xbox having supported the feature for years, Sony is finally bringing variable refresh rates (VRR) to its PlayStation 5. In a new blog post on Monday, the gaming giant detailed its upcoming implementation of VRR, which is a crucial feature if you’re looking to combat screen tearing and other graphical issues that arise from your console and display being out of sync. Blizzard has now announced the long-awaited release date for Diablo: Immortal as well as its simultaneous release on PC. Now slated to arrive on PC, iOS and Android in June, Blizzard says it has listened to fan feedback and finally decided to port the game over for those who wish to play it on their computers instead. The free-to-play title will once again bring players back to Sanctuary, with six classes to choose from: Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard. Activision has now officially confirmed that a sequel to its massively popular free-to-play battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone is on its way. New Skate 4 leaks now suggest that players will be able to build custom skateparks together in the game. Private equity firm Blackstone Group is now eyeing a potential acquisition of Ubisoft. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the French studio behind the Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six franchises has been looking to sell in recent months and has now attracted the attention of several private equity firms including the Blackstone Group and KKR & Co, the two largest in the world. Back in early March, 343 Industries disappointed many fans by announcing that campaign co-op won’t be arriving initially with season two of Halo Infinite, and no other launch dates for the feature were provided at the time.
