‘World of Warcraft’ Expansion Will Introduce Dragonriding

Blizzard has revealed a new World of Warcraft expansion in a developer livestream on Tuesday. Arriving nearly two decades after the game’s debut, the Dragonflight expansion will allow players to explore the Dragon Isles through a new dragon race called the Dracthyr. World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will split the Dragon Isles into five zones. In the Dracthyr, players can opt to join the Alliance or Horde. The race also includes a new Evoker class that features long-range attacks and heals. “[Evokers are] able to use their wings to buffet people away, they’re able to breathe fire out of their mouths, they’re able to knock people back with their tail,” lead combat designer Brian Holinka told Polygon. Nintendo has shared a new trailer for its title with Monolith Software, Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The open-world RPG, which is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch on July 29, is set after the events of the previous games of the series and centers on the war between the nations Keves and Agnus. Taking place in the world of Aionios, the game follows the journey of six characters, two of whom are off-seers, soldiers tasked with playing special flutes to mourn the passing of the dead. ‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Is Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Assassin’s Creed Origins is making its way to Xbox Game Pass, the company announced in a blog post. Working with Ubisoft, Xbox has promised a slew of new additions to the Game Pass library. As the first in the Assassin’s Creed franchise to join Game Pass, the Egypt-set Assassin’s Creed Origins is the tenth installment in the gaming series. The title debuted in 2017, following 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Framework Ventures allocates half of $400M fund to Web3 gaming

Crypto-focused venture firm Framework Ventures has raised $400 million in new funding to invest in early-stage companies across the Web3, blockchain gaming and decentralized finance (DeFi) industries.  The completed raise will go towards “FVIII,” an oversubscribed fund worth $400 million, the company announced Tuesday. Approximately $200 million of that total will be allocated to the emerging blockchain gaming industry. The venture firm, which had early exposure to DeFi, now has over $1.4 billion in assets under management. Framework Ventures was an early investor in projects such as Chainlink, Aave and The Graph. A Game Boy Advance Emulator for Nintendo Switch Online Has Reportedly Leaked

Leaks have now surfaced showcasing what appears to be a Game Boy and Game Boy Advance emulator for Nintendo‘s Switch Online service. The leaked files were first found over on 4Chan and included two emulators currently in development by Nintendo Europe Research and Development, one named Hioyo and the second named Sloop. The former is believed to be an emulator for the classic Game Boy while the latter is for the Game Boy Advance. According to Twitter user Trashbandatcoot, while both systems are buggy at the moment, they’re also functional, and screenshots of various Game Boy games running on the Switch were included.
