HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bryan Bedder / Getty Hideo Kojima’s video game studio Kojima Productions is NOT PlayStation’s latest acquisition. As expected, Kojima’s tweet caused a whirlwind of speculation among the video game enthusiast who believed Sony had acquired another Infinity Stone in the form of Kojima Productions. Kojima put that all to bed with a single tweet stating his video game studio would remain independent. “I’m sorry for the misunderstanding, but KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS has been and will continue to be an independent studio,” he tweeted. There have been rumblings that Kojima Productio...

‘Club Penguin Rewritten’ Shut Down by Disney

After the popular multiplayer online game Club Penguin was shut down in 2018, and its official successor, Club Penguin Island, was discontinued the following year, a fan remake of the original game titled Club Penguin Rewritten continued to live on as a private server for original enthusiasts to load in as penguin avatars in the Antarctica-themed open world. However, after four years of operation, the London police have now seized control of the site after Disney decided to take legal action for copyright reasons. “Following a complaint under copyright law, PIPCU have seized a gaming website as part of an ongoing investigation into the site,” Detective Constable Daryl Fryatt from the IP crime unit said in a statement. “Three people were arrested on April 12 on suspicion of distributin...

‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Next-Gen Update Has Been Delayed Indefinitely

The studio announced the unfortunate news over on Twitter, where it explained that it’ll be taking back the reigns on development in-house from Saber Interactive, although no particular reasons were provided for the decision. Coming as a free Complete Edition upgrade, The Witcher 3‘s next-gen update was originally slated to arrive by June this year but is now delayed “until further notice.” The update would’ve included all the expansions and extra content the game has accumulated since its original launch back in 2015, along with performance enhancements such as ray-tracing, quicker loading speeds and improved graphics. ‘Call of Duty’ Teases Godzilla’s Entrance Into the Game

It now seems like previous rumors were true: Godzilla and King Kong may really be coming to Call of Duty. Just earlier today, the massive FPS franchise took to Twitter to unveil its latest teaser trailer for the next season of both Vanguard and Warzone, and the tweets were accompanied by a soundtrack that seemed muddled and broken at first, but when a fan imported the audio into Audacity, the soundwaves created the words “Monsters are real.” The hint also reflects the teaser trailer itself, which near the end told players “With Nebula, the Nazis have unwittingly shaken something awake, something far more powerful and fearsome than we can ever hope to comprehend.” The new hints at the arrival of both Godzilla and King Kong coincide with leaks that surfaced earlier in the year indi...

The short clip itself highlights both the Plasma Cutter and the Pulse Rifle, and while the changes aren’t massive, they definitely add that little extra realistic touch to the experience. You’ll be able to check out how the two weapons performed in the original game, then in the recent livestream for the remake, and how they look like now after fan feedback. “The sense of power from weapons comes with the full experience, as it’s no...
