‘Fascinating’ – Chris Sutton says Celtic new signing could be an ‘exciting prospect’

Former Celtic striker turned popular football pundit, Chris Sutton, has suggested that Jota could be an “exciting prospect” for the Bhoys. The Hoops signed the 22-year-old winger on loan from Benfica and they will have the option to buy him permanently next summer for a fee of around £6million. Celtic finished 25 points behind Rangers last season and they have a tough job at hand to close the gap with their Scottish Premiership champions. Jota is one player who could excite the fan base. Celtic lost key players in the form of Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie, and Kristoffer Ajer this summer, but Sutton feels that new arrivals can lift the team. Sutton, while writing his column for The Daily Record, has claimed that Jota’s signing is “fascinating”, and that if Ange Postecoglou can g...

However, the visiting defence appeared to lack confidence and looked vulnerable on the counter. Alaves left midfielder Luis Rioja tried to exploit this but brought a smart save out of Barca keeper Neto after fine play by Brazilian centre forward Deyverson. It was from another such A...

Aston Villa interested in signing Liverpool youngster

Aston Villa are interested in signing the Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster this summer. The 20-year-old striker was on loan at Swansea City last season and he managed to score 11 goals for them. Brewster needs to leave the club in order to play regular first-team football and it will be interesting to see if the likes of Villa can agree on a fee with Liverpool in the coming weeks. According to Independent, Sheffield United are keen on signing the young striker as well and they have already spoken to the Reds regarding a move. Liverpool value the young striker at £25 million and they are hoping to insert a buy-back clause in the contract if Brewster is sold this summer. Such a deal would be ideal for Liverpool as it would allow the player to develop with the regular first-team football el...
