PROJECTED Feat. SEVENDUST, ALTER BRIDGE And TREMONTI Members: Third Album ‘Hypoxia’ Due In June
PROJECTED, the band featuring SEVENDUST members John Connolly (guitar) and Vince Hornsby (bass) alongside ALTER BRIDGE/CREED drummer Scott Phillips and guitarist/vocalist Eric Friedman (a.k.a. E-Rock; TREMONTI), will release its third studio album, “Hypoxia”, on June 24 via Rat Pak Records. The 13-track follow-up to 2017’s “Ignite My Insanity” was tracked at Studio Barbarosa in Gotha, Florida with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, who has previously worked with SEVENDUST, ALTER BRIDGE and SLASH, among others. Last night, Jack White proposed to and then married Olivia Jean, his longtime girlfriend and Black Belles singer-songwriter, during his hometown show at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit. White invited Jean to join him for a cover of the White Stripes’ song “Hotel Yorba” and, after singing the lyric “Let’s get married,” he proposed to her with a ring. A Sound Artist Translated Air Pollution Data Into Music
Researchers from the University of Birmingham are thinking creatively about how to highlight the often imperceptible impacts of air pollution. A subsection of the university’s “The Air We Breathe” exhibition, the project, titled “Sounding Out Pollution,” transforms air quality data into music. The offering includes three unique sonic interpretations of pollution, each leveraging air quality data from locations throughout the U.K. The pieces each explore a unique creative concept, including one that captures the subtle changes in pollution by the hour across the West Midlands and another which juxtaposes pollution data between the countryside and major cities throughout the country.
