The 55-year-old musician responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Yeah, there was at first, but then it kind of goes into, ‘Do you guys wanna do a record?’ And we’re so disappointed that we finished the ‘Perdida’ record [STP‘s first-ever acoustic album] and then we weren’t able to tour it. Travis Scott Announces $5 Million Investment in Initiative To Benefit HBCUs, Creatives

On Tuesday (March 8th), the rapper announced the formation of Project HEAL in a press release. Project HEAL is a multi-tiered initiative with a focus on philanthropy to community-based groups including investments. Scott has pledged $5 million towards these efforts. The initiative’s first project is the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund, named after the artist’s grandfather who was an educator at Prairie View A&M University. Due via Asylum/Taylor Gang, the album brings together ten-plus years of friendships.
