The Chainsmokers Will Be Launched Into Space in 2024
The Chainsmokers will become the first musicians to perform at the edge of space. The DJ duo of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall have signed up to be launched into the stratosphere in a pressurized capsule. Ryan Hartman, CEO of space tourism company World View, shared the news first with the Associated Press. According to the article, The Chainsmokers are slated to be onboard one of World View’s inaugural flights in 2024. The capsule will be tied to a stratospheric balloon and can hold up to eight passengers. That may mean that the DJs may have an audience on their trip to the sky. Justin Bieber is preparing to go back on the road after postponing his “Justice World Tour” in June to recover from a bout with Ramsey Hunt syndrome that caused partial facial paralysis. The tour is set to resume on July 31st at Italy’s Summer Festival Lucca, with a string of previously scheduled European appearances to follow. Based on the latest update to his website, it seems Bieber will then fulfill the 75 remaining dates as planned through March 2023. Currently, he’ll touch down on five continents throughout the trek, but there’s no word yet on when he’ll make it back to North America for the delayed June and July shows. Connecticut jam band Goose have added a new leg of fall tour dates as part of their ongoing tour. In the lead up to their two-weekend appearance at Austin City Limits, Goose will play headlining shows in Richmond, Atlanta, St. Louis, and New Orleans. They’ll also make stops in Fayettesville, Oklahoma City, and Dallas during the month of October.
