In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the NBA has released a list of 25 out of 75 of its greatest players in the league’s history. The association last released a list of 50 of its top players over 25 years ago during its 50th anniversary since the first tip-off in 1996. The selection of the 75th-anniversary team was done by a blue-ribbon panel composed of prestigious media representatives, current and former players, coaches, general managers and team executives. 25 team members have been unveiled with consideration of positions and eras while the following 25 members shall be announced on Wednesday and the final set will be revealed on Thursday. The Ben Simmons and Philadelphia 76ers drama continue to unfold as the Australian player makes his way back to practice before the season begins. According to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, head coach Doc Rivers had thrown Ben Simmons out of practice due to the player being reluctant “to physically and mentally engage with the Sixers since his return has been a consistent theme.” Shortly after the events of the practice, Rivers suspended Simmons for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. Coming off of his Ryder Cup loss, Rory McIlroy has claimed his 20th PGA victory at the CJ Cup at the Summit. McIlroy is only the 39th player to win at least 20 times on the PGA Tour. His win at the CJ Cup also marks his fifth consecutive PGA Tour season with at least one win. McIlroy started the second day of the cup behind Rickie Fowler, the former world number one and leader of the cup.
