A Price Has Been Set for MTN’s IHS Tower Deal – Here Are The Details

Sourced from PC Mag After a lengthly competitive process, the MTN Group has announced that its South African arm has finalised a passive tower infrastructure transaction with IHS Towers. The transaction will entail the sale and leaseback of 5,709 of MTN SA’s towers – comprising approximately 4,000 greenfield and 1,700 rooftop sites. The transaction will also include the outsourcing of power and related services (power as a service, or PaaS) across the entire MTN SA site footprint of approximately 12,800 – thus incorporating an additional 7,100 third-party sites. MTN SA Launches New Uncapped LTE Data Deals

Sourced from Business Tech MTN is introducing new MyMTN Home Uncapped Fixed LTE to South Africans starting from R499 per month for speeds up to 10Mbps. “We are excited to introduce MyMTN Home Uncapped Fixed LTE gives customers high-speed uncapped streaming, endless connectivity, and coverage with always-on reliability and a seamless start with a free WiFi Router,” says Megan Nicholas, GM for Residential at MTN SA.
