Summary

The first-ever production Bugatti Bolide, chassis #001 of just 40 units, is set to go under the hammer at Gooding Christie’s Pebble Beach Auction during Monterey Car Week on August 15–16.

Originally revealed in 2020 as a radical track-only concept, the Bolide became a reality after overwhelming public demand. Built with no road-legal constraints, it features Bugatti’s legendary 8L quad-turbocharged W16 engine, tuned to deliver 1,600 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. With a dry weight of just 3,086 pounds, it rockets from 0–62 mph in 2.2 seconds and produces nearly three tonnes of downforce at high speeds.

Chassis #001 is finished in French Racing Blue with Nocturne Black carbon accents and signature X motifs. Delivered to teamcjworks in Texas, it has only 389 miles on the odometer and was the first customer-delivered Bolide following its 2023 production launch at Le Mans. With only 40 units built, each priced around $4,800,000 USD, this example is expected to fetch as much as $6,000,000 USD. As the debut production Bolide, it stands as one of the rarest and most collectible Bugattis of the modern era.
