Two commissioned reports from WarnerMedia have claimed that bots and fake accounts/users were behind the fan-led social campaign to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Rolling Stone obtained copies of these reports and revealed that at least 13% of the accounts that contributed to the conversation surrounding the Snyder Cut were considered fake, with that number three to five percent higher than experts say are ordinary for trending topics. Netflix has announced they are bringing Sam Raimi‘s iconic Spider-Man trilogy to its platform, with subscribers in the United States able to start watching it on the streaming platform starting from August 1. The announcement was revealed in a tweet showcasing a meme from 2002’s Spider-Man, which features Kirsten Dunst‘s Mary-Jane Watson and Tobey Maguire‘s Peter Parker, with the caption, “He said our Spider-Man trilogy is coming to Netflix on August 1!” Raimi’s trilogy was released in 2002, 2004 and 2007, and saw Maguire’s Spider-Man battle Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Uncle Ben’s killer Flint Marko/Sandman, Harry Osborn and Venom. It took nine movies and 42 years for Star Wars to finally confirm that Leia Organa is force sensitive and has had Jedi training, but fans were nonetheless delighted to see a young Leia and Luke sparring during a flashback of their early training days. Universal Pictures has released the first official trailer for Halloween Ends. The upcoming slasher will pick up where 2021’s Halloween Kills left off, with Jamie Lee Curtis’ original heroine Laurie Strode continuing her personal fight against Michael Myers. The one-minute trailer shows Laurie and Michael violently facing off against each other, with the latter also haunting the other residents of Haddonfield. It also plays into the nostalgia of the beloved franchise, with scenes from the older films being weaved into the recent trilogy.
